Allkind Mental Health

Allkind Mental Health Allkind is a mental health charity supporting all kinds of people, of all ages. Mind in Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster is an independent mental health charity.

For over 40 years, we’ve listened to our communities and shaped our support around what people need. We aim to help people in our local communities with mental health needs to live the best life possible. We help people to access counselling, housing, voluntary work, employment, peer support and a wide range of social, leisure and learning opportunities. We operate in the Boroughs of Brent, Wandsw

orth and Westminster, offering services to individuals in need of mental health support. This site is only intermittently monitored and we are unable to deal with urgent or critical enquiries or conversations. If you need urgent advice or support around your own or someone else’s mental health please contact your GP or local emergency health services or go to one of the national helplines such as www.mind.org.uk or www.rethink.org

It’s getting very warm out here…

With record-breaking June temperatures and extreme heat warnings issued this week, here’s a gentle reminder to take extra care of yourself and those around you. Hot weather can affect both our physical health and mental wellbeing.

💛 A few simple ways to stay safe and cool:

☀️ Avoid the sun during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm)
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🧢 Wear light, breathable clothing, suncream, and a hat
❄️ Keep cool with cold showers, fans, and stay in the shade
📞 Check in on friends, family, and loved ones who may be more vulnerable in the heat

Please make sure to reach out to a pharmacist or GP if you have concerns or need advice.

🧡 This week is Men’s Mental Health Week 🧡

We spoke to three men from our Kick the Stigma Tournament about what helps them look after their mental health and what advice they’d tell their younger selves.

Real, honest conversations like this matter. More men are talking. The stigma is shifting, but we still have a way to go.

Check on your mates regularly and be open and honest about your emotions when they check on you. And if you’re struggling, it’s okay not to be okay. Talk to trusted friends, family and colleagues - we are all vulnerable to poor mental health...it doesn't discriminate.

To mark the World Cup starting today, we hosted our third annual Kick the Stigma Football Tournament in partnership with and - and our first as Allkind 🏃‍♀️

While there may have been plenty of competition on the pitch, this event is about so much more than football. It’s about bringing companies across London together and raising awareness of mental health.

In the last 3 years, our annual football tournament has hosted 15 teams and raised thousands for our frontline mental health services.

A huge thank you to all the teams and businesses who took part and continue to support. We couldn’t do what we do without you 🧡

🌟 Yesterday we had a fantastic time at the Meet the Charity event at the Energy Institute!

A huge thank you to One Westminster , the Harley Street BID, Marylebone Village and Westminster City Council for organising a brilliant event. It was a great opportunity to connect with charities, businesses and partners from across the borough, all working towards making a positive difference locally.

It was great to meet so many people from different sectors and introduce them to the work we do at Allkind Mental Health !
