We recently had a fascinating look into the Company's history as Jenny Knott of Doerr Dallas Valuations carefully valued pieces from the silver collection.

Many of these items have been part of the Company's story for generations, reflecting centuries of craftsmanship, tradition and heritage. Each piece offers a connection to the people and events that have helped shape the Company over the years, and a reminder of the importance of preserving our history for future generations. Now they're safely locked away again!

The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers has recently launched its new Inspirational Women in Plastering Award, recognising women who are breaking barriers and championing inclusion across plastering, lime work, conservation and the decorative arts.

Congratulations to the inaugural recipient, Sarah Mayfield, Senior National Conservator for Stone and Plaster at the National Trust. A respected building conservator, sculptor and ornamental plasterer, Sarah has made an outstanding contribution to heritage conservation, industry guidance and best practice in historic plasterwork.

A well-deserved recognition for an inspiring leader in the craft.

From London Craft Week to our Annual Banquet - Plaisterers’ Hall certainly knows how to change its look!

After a week showcasing craftsmanship and creativity, the Hall was transformed once again last week for an enjoyable evening, bringing members and guests together for this year’s Annual Banquet. We were delighted to welcome Alderman Alastair King, representing the Lady Mayor, as our guest speaker for the evening and very pleased to hand over a donation from the Plaisterers Charitable Trust to The Lord Mayor’s Appeal.

With great food, lively conversation, and the Hall looking its absolute best, it was a fantastic night and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Company and its traditions together.

What an incredible event we held at Plaisterers' Hall for London Craft Week 2026 last week.

Thank you to all who helped make the day such a success - it was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm for traditional plasterwork, decorative arts, and heritage craftsmanship throughout the day, as well as the wonderful exhibitors showcasing their exceptional skills. Even the Master had a go at creating a plaster mould!

A special thank you to Best of Lime and Rose of Jericho for sponsoring the event.
