Along with our own Plaisterers' Charity, the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers will be supporting Sailability@Whitefriars during 2026–27.

Based in the Cotswold Water Park, the charity helps people with disabilities or limited mobility enjoy sailing - whether for leisure, to learn new skills or to compete. We're proud to support its inspiring work and look forward to following its progress over the coming year.

It was a pleasure to see Garry McCormick, our new Beadle, taking part in his first Plaisterers’ Robing Day recently.

Garry is also a Yeoman Warder and brings with him considerable experience in running formal events. His knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to the Plaisterers, and the whole Company is delighted to welcome him to the team.

Congratulations to the Plaisterers' team of Phillip Cowen, Stephen Kerslake and Cameron Spurling on winning the 2026 Inter-Livery Pétanque Competition! 🏆

Now in its sixth year, the competition - conceived by the Distillers' and Coopers' Livery Companies - brings together Livery Companies for an evening of friendly rivalry, skill and fellowship.

Following a closely fought final against the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs, the Plaisterers claimed their first-ever Inter-Livery Pétanque title. A fantastic achievement - well played to all involved! 👏

With the start of a new Livery year, we were delighted to welcome our Master for 2026–27, Jon Randall, at our recent Robing Ceremony. We also celebrated new members receiving their Freedom and the robing of our newest Liverymen.

It was wonderful to see so many members come together to mark the occasion, and we wish Jon every success as he begins his year as Master Plaisterer.

Continuing the Inter-Livery events, on Saturday 4 July, 32 teams from around 24 Livery Companies and other City institutions competed in the Worshipful Company of Coopers' Cask Race in Guildhall Yard.

Teams of four rolled huge barrels up and down the cobbled courtyard – great fun and a perfect example of the fellowship, camaraderie and unique experiences that the City and Livery movement has to offer. See you again next year!

It was a pleasure for the Plaisterers' team to take part in the Inter-Livery Golf Croquet Competition on Saturday 27 June. A wonderful day of friendly competition, great camaraderie and excellent hospitality, bringing together Livery Companies from across the City.

Thank you to the Worshipful Company of Glovers for organising another superb event. We’re already looking forward to next year!

We recently had a fascinating look into the Company's history as Jenny Knott of Doerr Dallas Valuations carefully valued pieces from the silver collection.

Many of these items have been part of the Company's story for generations, reflecting centuries of craftsmanship, tradition and heritage. Each piece offers a connection to the people and events that have helped shape the Company over the years, and a reminder of the importance of preserving our history for future generations. Now they're safely locked away again!

The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers has recently launched its new Inspirational Women in Plastering Award, recognising women who are breaking barriers and championing inclusion across plastering, lime work, conservation and the decorative arts.

Congratulations to the inaugural recipient, Sarah Mayfield, Senior National Conservator for Stone and Plaster at the National Trust. A respected building conservator, sculptor and ornamental plasterer, Sarah has made an outstanding contribution to heritage conservation, industry guidance and best practice in historic plasterwork.

A well-deserved recognition for an inspiring leader in the craft.

The Plaisterers are pleased to support the City & Livery Ukrainian Aid Convoy 2026 Information and Fundraising Evening at St Vedast Church, hosted and presented by Master Woolman, David Hopkins, and Paul Kennedy, Rector of St Vedast.

Following the success of the 2025 Ukraine aid convoy, a repeat drive to Kyiv of ambulances with vital aid is planned for 2026. The presentation will paint the picture of last year’s success and set out the powerful reasons for reprising this year.
