Who will you bring to the Lord Mayor's Show?

Children seeing the parade for the first time. Grandparents sharing a City tradition. Friends discovering the pageantry of the Square Mile. It's an occasion for every generation.

After the procession, join us at Plaisterers’ Hall for a hot buffet lunch - a chance to warm up, enjoy good company and introduce your guests to our magnificent Hall. Plus, there’s an entertainer on hand to amuse the children!

This Sunday 27 September, Plaisterers members will be taking part in the annual London Sheep Drive across Southwark Bridge, setting off at around 12:44pm.

This much-loved City tradition celebrates the ancient right of Freemen of the City of London to bring sheep across the Thames toll-free, while raising funds for The Woolmen Charity and The Lord Mayor’s Appeal.

The Lord Mayor’s Show is one of London’s great traditions – and a wonderful occasion to share.

Bring family and friends to enjoy the colour, pageantry and atmosphere, then join us for a relaxed hot buffet lunch at Plaisterers’ Hall – a chance to show your guests our stunning Hall in a more informal setting. Plus, there’ll be an entertainer to keep the children entertained too!

Plaisterers’ Hall was the starting point for the Livery Halls Walk today, with our Master and Renter Warden joining fellow members of the Livery community for a walk taking in many of the historic Halls across the City. A wonderful way to explore the Square Mile and celebrate the history and fellowship of the Livery.

We hope everyone taking part had a fantastic day – and that there aren’t too many sore feet tomorrow!

Later this month, the Pearly Kings and Queens will be bringing colour, character and a little London sparkle to Guildhall Yard for their annual Harvest Festival.

It’s a wonderful chance to see one of the capital’s most distinctive traditions come to life, celebrating London heritage and community in the heart of the City.

The event is free, and everyone is welcome - Sunday 20 September 2026 1.30pm-4pm at Guildhall Yard, EC2,

Did you know the Plaisterers’ Company has been championing plastering for more than 500 years?

The Company received its first Royal Charter on 10 March 1501, beginning a history that has spanned more than five centuries.

Today, we continue that tradition by proudly supporting the plastering trade, celebrating craftsmanship and helping to develop the skills of the next generation. Over 500 years of heritage and still looking to the future.

Along with our own Plaisterers' Charity, the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers will be supporting Sailability@Whitefriars during 2026–27.

Based in the Cotswold Water Park, the charity helps people with disabilities or limited mobility enjoy sailing - whether for leisure, to learn new skills or to compete. We're proud to support its inspiring work and look forward to following its progress over the coming year.

It was a pleasure to see Garry McCormick, our new Beadle, taking part in his first Plaisterers’ Robing Day recently.

Garry is also a Yeoman Warder and brings with him considerable experience in running formal events. His knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to the Plaisterers, and the whole Company is delighted to welcome him to the team.

Congratulations to the Plaisterers' team of Phillip Cowen, Stephen Kerslake and Cameron Spurling on winning the 2026 Inter-Livery Pétanque Competition! 🏆

Now in its sixth year, the competition - conceived by the Distillers' and Coopers' Livery Companies - brings together Livery Companies for an evening of friendly rivalry, skill and fellowship.

Following a closely fought final against the Worshipful Company of Entrepreneurs, the Plaisterers claimed their first-ever Inter-Livery Pétanque title. A fantastic achievement - well played to all involved! 👏

With the start of a new Livery year, we were delighted to welcome our Master for 2026–27, Jon Randall, at our recent Robing Ceremony. We also celebrated new members receiving their Freedom and the robing of our newest Liverymen.

It was wonderful to see so many members come together to mark the occasion, and we wish Jon every success as he begins his year as Master Plaisterer.
