Are you pregnant or a new mum looking for a little extra support?

Our Mindful Mums online drop-ins are a chance to connect with other mums and access support from the comfort of your home.

Our next online session takes place on Monday 24th August, from 10am-11.30am, via Microsoft Teams.

The drop-ins provide a welcoming and supportive space for pregnant women and mums with babies under one. They’re an opportunity to talk, share experiences and connect with others who may be going through similar things.

We also have another online sessions coming up in September:
Thursday 3 September: 7pm–8pm

We have one remaining face-to-face summer drop-in:
Thursday 27 August: 11.30am–1pm at Erith Family Hub, 105 West Street, Erith DA8 1AW.

Please note that children over one cannot attend our sessions due to health and safety considerations and the open and honest nature of the conversations.

Our Mindful Mums colleagues had a lovely time meeting families at the Best Start in Life Family Hub’s Summer Family Fun Day.

The event took place on Thursday 13 August at the Family Hub, West St in Erith.

Alongside mindful colouring and conversations about the ups and downs of parenting, we heard from former Mindful Mums participants who shared how the friendships and wellbeing strategies they gained through the programme are still supporting them today.

Mindful Mums offers supportive peer groups for pregnant women and new mums across Bexley, providing a welcoming space to connect, share experiences and support wellbeing.

Arts and crafts can benefit mental health.

They help by promoting self-expression, reducing stress, boosting mood and fostering a sense of accomplishment and wellbeing.

Our free Make, Mend and Motivate online group gives you time to put aside two hours for arts, craft, making, mending and DIY. You could chat to like-minded crafters for inspiration, tips and support.

The group takes place on Wednesdays at 11am until 1pm.

If you, or someone you know, would like to sign-up, please head over to the Mind in Bexley website, click on Services and then Recovery College. There you will see the registration form, as well as the timetable and our full prospectus. Alternatively, you can call on 0208 303 8932.

It was a pleasure to welcome Bexleyhealth and Crayford MP, Daniel Francis, to the Mental Health Hub on Wednesday to learn more about the support available to people in Bexley.

The Hub, run in partnership by Mind in Bexley and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, brings together mental health support and expertise to help local people access the right support when they need it.

The visit was a valuable opportunity to talk about the work taking place at the Hub, the needs of our local community and the importance of organisations working together to improve mental health and wellbeing across the borough.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and find out more about our work.
