☀️ Hot weather can affect more than our physical health. It can impact our mental health and wellbeing too.
With temperatures set to reach as high as 37°C in the UK tomorrow, it's worth remembering that heat can affect concentration, energy levels, sleep quality, stress, and emotional resilience. For many people, hotter weather can make the working day more challenging.
Employers and managers can help by:
• Encouraging regular breaks
• Providing access to water and cooler working spaces where possible
• Supporting flexible ways of working where appropriate
Creating mentally healthy workplaces means recognising the factors that can affect how people feel, perform, and cope, including changes in the environment around us.
