💜 MEET CHARLENE, 13 — ONE OF OUR STARS OF TOMORROW ✨

Charlene’s life has demanded courage from a very young age.

After experiencing significant challenges in her early childhood, she has grown into an incredibly kind, brave and compassionate young person.

She has faced bullying, struggled with confidence and found school and friendships challenging at times — but Charlene keeps going.

She is learning to understand herself, recognise what she needs and find her own way through situations that once felt overwhelming.

And her determination is incredible. This half-term, Charlene is walking 42 miles over five days and wild camping each night to raise money for charity.

That tells you everything you need to know about her.

Resilient. Compassionate. Determined. And far stronger than she realises.

This Saturday, Charlene will take to the Stars of Tomorrow runway alongside 17 other incredible young people.

We are so proud to have her with us. 💜✨

✨ MEET ZICO — ONE OF OUR STARS OF TOMORROW ✨

At 16, Zico is already achieving great things. He loves football, has worked hard at school and has achieved a lot on the football pitch — but like many young people, he’s struggled with confidence.

That’s why he’s taking part in Stars of Tomorrow.

Zico hopes the experience will help him believe in himself, build his confidence and take another step towards his aspiring modelling career.

He’s already made his mark on the football pitch. ⚽️

Now it’s Zico’s turn to shine on the runway. 🌟

We’re incredibly proud to have him as one of our Stars of Tomorrow.

DISABILITY IS NOT “COOL”. IT’S NOT A TREND. AND IT’S NOT A FASHION STATEMENT.

We are appalled by the Telegraph’s decision to publish “How having a disability became cool” by Poppy Coburn.

For people actually living with disability and chronic illness, the article has been deeply offensive and distressing.

Calling disabled young people “sickfluencers” and describing mobility aids as “accessories” reduces people’s lived experiences to a social trend.

As one response to the article said:

“People aren’t choosing disability to be ‘cool’.”

And that is the point.

For years, disabled people have been told they are too visible, too demanding, or simply not believed — particularly people with invisible and fluctuating conditions.

Now, when people finally speak openly about disability and demand representation, we’re told they’ve made it “cool”.

No.

Visibility isn’t a trend.
Representation isn’t an aesthetic.
And disability isn’t a choice.

💙 MEET KYRAN, 14 — ONE OF OUR STARS OF TOMORROW ✨

Kyran has struggled with confidence and finding his place, but he’s turned those challenges into motivation.

As Kyran says:

“Instead of worrying about what other people think, I’ve put my energy into becoming stronger, fitter and better at what I love.”

At just 14, these are words we could all live by. Rather than giving our energy to the opinions of others, focus on becoming the best version of yourself and doing what makes you happy.

This October, Kyran will take to the Stars of Tomorrow catwalk, celebrating who he is and how far he’s come.

We’re incredibly proud to have him as one of our Stars. 🌟

HAIR CARE SHOULD BE FOR EVERYONE.

From 1 September, New York has made training in all hair types and textures a requirement for cosmetology students.

That means whether you walk into a salon with straight, curly, coily or Afro-textured hair, your stylist should have the skills to care for you.

This isn’t just about models backstage. It’s about every person who deserves to sit in a salon chair and know they won’t be turned away, misunderstood or left without the care they need.

The UK needs to follow.

Hair is not a specialist subject. Inclusive training should be the standard.
