Britain’s Got Talent golden buzzer act Electric Umbrella visited The Wroxham Primary School in Potters Bar to celebrate diversity and encourage children to be themselves.
The Hertfordshire band, made up of professional and learning-disabled musicians, performed and hosted interactive workshops to children aged from 3-11.
Electric Umbrella, which reached the semi-finals of BGT in 2025, delivers more than 100 live performances each year. It visits schools to educate communities about equity, diversity and inclusion, and to remind children that there’s no such thing as normal.
Nicky Easey, Headteacher at The Wroxham School, says: “The visit from Electric Umbrella was joyful from start to finish. The children were all joining in and, most importantly, learning that they are all unique and special in their own way.
“It was wonderful to see our pupils getting so involved and having the confidence to sing, dance and tell jokes alongside the band. Just like Electric Umbrella, our children celebrate and respect difference and we are extremely proud of them.”
