Our story
A new charity awarding funds for, and with, residents of Barking and Dagenham – launched November 2017. B&D Renew will enable and empower ideas from the community, that will add something to the borough. Maybe the idea will change the way things work in your area, maybe it’s a temporary event, something that makes your street look nicer, or something to inspire you and your neighbours.
We are looking to fund ideas that will add to the day-to-day experience of those living and working in the borough. No ideas are off limits. We are keen to receive applications for the unusual, the usual, the thoughtful, the small scale – anything really, as long as it will impact and provide benefit to your neighbourhood and those living there. We are open to any applicant that has a link to the local area but will strongly prioritise local applicants and will limit non-local applicants to those who can show a close tie to Barking and Dagenham.
