TED GOODS? Or would your NGO like to hear about donated goods being offered? Our Global Hand service provides a ‘matching’ website. Donors say what they would like to give and NGOs can respond if it would empower their work. We do our best to ensure best practice so that the goods are placed in deeply helpful and strategic ways. * NEED INSPIRATIONAL X-PERIENCES? How often do you hear people say, ‘I didn’t really understand until it happened to me. Many people will never experience poverty, war, famine or other global issues troubling our world. So Crossroads offers programmes that bring a taste of those issues to them. We use a form of experiential theatre, a simulation of reality which we call Global X-perience. The old proverb says, ‘I can’t understand a man until I have walked a mile in his shoes.’ Our participants have a chance to take a few steps in another’s shoes and find out how they can use their lives to make a difference. We can offer programmes on poverty, hunger, cross cultural challenges blindness and more. Want us to bring a programme to your event or your organisation? We’re keen.
* LOVE FAIR TRADE? We buy goods from artisans, farmers and producers who live in poverty, all over the world. We can bring a table to your event so that your participants can have a chance to buy products which will change the lives of those needing a fair, steady income in order to improve their lives and those of their families and communities.
