Our next wellbeing webinar is coming up on August 24th and we are delighted to be collaborating with P**A (Parents and Carers in Performing Arts) for a session on caring responsibilities.

Having a caring responsibility, be it for a child or loved one can have a direct impact on your own work and health. Managing schedules, appointments, your caring responsibilities plus a career that is possibly precarious or freelance is a lot for any one person to manage.

Many people working in our industry are juggling being a parent and acting or stage management jobs.

This session with dramatherapist Heather Turkington and P**A (Parents and Carers in the Performing Arts) will look at:

🧡Taking care of yourself when caring for your loved ones
⚖️Managing your career and caring responsibilities
🫂Support available in and outside the industry
🧑‍🧒‍🧒P**A partner organisations that are working to integrate caring into working in performing arts
🙋🏻Time for reflection, comments and questions

In her recent Spotlight article, Actor Raychel Addo shares her experience of navigating the performing arts industry as a parent and the challenges that can come with balancing both roles.

We understand that parents and carers can face additional costs during the summer holidays, and we're here to help.

This summer, Actors and stage managers can apply for a one-off grant to help cover these expenses and make the summer period a little easier.
