Yesterday at Number 10 for a World Cancer Day event. Great energy, important conversations, and a reminder of why this work matters. Thankful for the opportunity and the company.

Real Talk at the Mac Live Conference 2026 in Birmingham, we came, we saw, we delivered.

We delivered the session with humour, because laughter opens the door. But as always, Real Talk finds its way through. Behind the jokes were our real voices, real perspectives, and honest reflections on our individual cancer journeys.

Sharing lived experience and vulnerability in this way isn’t easy, but it’s powerful. We do it in the hope that authentic stories can challenge attitudes, shift perspectives, and lead to meaningful change across cancer care and support.

Thank you to everyone who supported us in making this happen.

We made strong connections, had important conversations, and left energised by what’s possible when partnerships are built on honesty and shared purpose. Collaboration truly is the way forward.

If you’d like Real Talk delivered within your organisation, network, or event, feel free to DM me.

We welcome The National Lottery Community Funds new £50 million investment to tackle health inequities linked to racism, discrimination, and systemic injustice.
This partnership opportunity will support ten established organisations already driving change within communities most affected by these barriers.

At Cancer Black Care, we see every day how structural inequalities shape cancer experiences and access to care, so we fully support this bold, collaborative step toward health equity.

📅 Applications open 15 October and close 26 November 2025.

Yesterday, I attended an important event at the House of Commons hosted by , where their new report was launched highlighting the urgent need for a targeted prostate cancer screening programme.

The evidence strengthens the call for action. Early detection saves lives, and every delay keeps the gap wide open for those most at risk.

S*X!

Now that we've caught your attention, don't miss checking out the recently recorded webinar 'The patient and partner perspectives on the impact of female cystectomy, pe**le cancer and prostate cancer on s*xual function'.

In this webinar, we learned about that for 🧔‍♂️ prostate & pe**le cancer...
👉 Up to 85% of prostate cancer patients suffer ED post-surgery
👉 Pe**le cancer may lead to the total or partial removal of the p***s 🍆

And for female patients who have undergone a cystectomy...
👉 70%+ experience loss of vaginal sensation
👉Many can no longer have intercourse—even with therapy

🗣️ Patients say:
“I wish someone had told me s*x might never feel the same again.”

Radical urological surgeries don’t just save lives—they change them forever.
