🌿 🌻 We’re aging delectably whilst hitting double digits in quite some fashion this summer! 🌻 🌿

Celebrating a decade of Earthly Measures music and culture by revisiting our radiant roots and the seed that spawned our ever-growing journey.

This August, we gravitate towards our favourite East London spot Folklore, for a transcendental night aboard the otherworldly Earthly Measures vessel.

We’re shining a light on two eloquently eclectic live artists (both debuting in London!) hailing from Chile, Argentina and the USA, respectively.

Playroots is our Chilean brother and soon-to-be Earthly Measures label contributor (upcoming shhh!). Shifting us into ultra-dimensions, his music moves between downtempo, organic house and dub with an elegant emphasis on the delicate-sounding, alien spaceship-looking handpan. It’ll be a pleasure to host him for his first big smoke experience!

For their London debut, the Cuervo Cuervo duo will be in full force, hypnotically blending Latin American rhythms and downtempo electronica. Mixing their musical soundscape with the tropical and mystical vibes of the Folklore den, you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’ve been transported to a spirited selva far, far away ...
.. as always, we’ll be aboard ship to guide you through the night with an assortment of tripped-out, globally-infused psychedelia, fuelling your cravings for the amalgamation of mind-melters and body-shakers for which we’re ever-so grateful to be renowned.

🚨 .music - A Lua ( Remix) out now on all digital platforms

For the first single from the Bandua remix album, Bandua invites Portuguese producer, percussionist, and drummer Magupi (Márcio Pinto) to reinterpret “A Lua.” A long time friend and respected presence in the Portuguese electronic scene, Magupi approaches the track with a refined rhythmic sensitivity and deep understanding of movement and texture, reshaping the original track with precision and intent.

His remix accelerates the original pulse, pushing it toward deeper, darker, and more progressive territory. Anchored by a strong, driving kick and a dense, grounded bass line, the track unfolds gradually, drawing on the song’s iconic melodic elements while reshaping them into a layered, introspective journey. A spacious, dream-like drop opens the piece outward, reframing “A Lua” as a modern, immersive dance-floor track, focused on movement and momentum, yet retaining the emotional and melodic weight of the original.
