What would you say to your younger self?

This quote is from one of our Phoenix Project alumni.

The Phoenix Project is our newest initiative aiming to keep our vibrant Us community active even after students have graduated from our programmes.

We had a wonderful two weeks of Easter camps with our Year 7 and 8 girls from Alperton Community School! 🐰🥳

Some activities included paddle games, ice skating, theatre and participatory art workshops, bookmark and card making, sports, and lots of delicious food.

Thank you to .club .london and all of our staff and volunteers who ensured that everything ran smoothly.

Another Careers Fair for the books 📕

Whitefriars School was the latest of our partner schools to host a Careers Fair with various companies and organisations sharing their work with students.

We were so lucky to be joined by some of our current Phoenix Project students who helped us facilitate the day by going around the gymnasium announcing instructions for the bingo game, getting students to write down their aspirations on a sticky note and liaising with guests to ensure optimum support and care.

A massive thank you to our Us team and for hosting, our guest companies, the students and everyone involved in the event! 💚

This past week, students from our Phoenix Project paid a visit to Newman Catholic College to deliver some career workshops to Year 7 and 8 classes. 🧑‍🎓

We are elated to see our Phoenix Project do exactly what it was conceived to do by:

🗣️ Connecting students at our partner schools with each other,
🤝 Empower past students who are now in the work field and;
✨ Nurture current students’ as they start to think about their careers.

Thank you to our entire Us team, and all who helped in the success of our events!

🔥 Introducing The Phoenix Project 🔥

We're proud to launch our newest programme, designed to support young people aged 18–25 as they take their next steps in personal growth and career development.

The Phoenix Project is shaped by young people, for young people - creating space for their voices, ideas and ambitions to lead the way.

On Friday, we welcomed over 30 young people - current students from three schools and alumni from Brent - for powerful conversations around the issues that impact them most. Despite facing precarious situations, including recent uprising of youth violence, they showed up ready to connect, reflect and build.

Their presence reminded us exactly why programmes like this matter. Holding space for young people to share their experiences, influence change and strengthen their networks isn't optional - it's essential.

A special thank you to for hosting us and to for the incredible Sri Lankan food that brought everyone together around the table.

This is just the beginning. 🔥

In collaboration with the Us team recently facilitated an engaging and participatory training session designed to equip our incredible alumni and staff with the tools, confidence, and creativity to lead impactful workshops of their own ✨

Through hands-on activities, shared learning, and meaningful dialogue, we explored what it takes to create inclusive, dynamic spaces where every voice is heard and valued. It was inspiring to see our community step into their leadership, strengthen their facilitation skills, and support one another’s growth.

A huge thank you to for generously providing the venue space and helping make this session possible. Your support allows us to continue building a strong, empowered network of changemakers.

Empowering young men through knowledge.

At the Zeno Initiative, young men took part in open, honest conversations around relationships and s*x education, delivered in a way that was engaging, relatable, and informative. Education is a powerful tool for safety, confidence, and healthy decision-making, and creating spaces like this helps young men build respect for themselves and others. Knowledge isn’t just power—it’s protection. 💙

Zeno Initiative session on taxes and saving, led by Pedro.

Real-life money skills, not theory.

We broke down how tax actually works, why it matters, and how small saving habits compound over time.

The young men stayed engaged, asked questions, and left with more confidence around money.

When finance is taught clearly and honestly, young people are ready to take it seriously.

We were also grateful to welcome who led a dedicated session on s*x education. She created a safe, supportive, and open space where the girls felt comfortable asking questions, deepening their understanding, and building confidence around topics that are often overlooked but incredibly important.
