NAWO AGM & CONFERENCE IS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

Dear All,

We are delighted to announce that, for the convenience of members who are unable to attend the AGM and Conference in person, we are able to offer the opportunity to participate virtually via Zoom.

We are committed to ensuring that as many members as possible can take part in this important event, regardless of their location or personal circumstances.

To help cover the costs of facilitating online participation, a nominal fee of £10.00 will apply for virtual attendance.

Should you wish to join the AGM and Conference online, please register using the link below.

Once your registration has been received and the registration fee processed, the Zoom joining details will be sent to you in advance of the conference.

Your participation is greatly valued, and we warmly encourage you to join us as we reflect on our achievements, discuss matters of importance to our organisation, and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges that lie before us.

Your voice and contribution are an important part of these conversations.

The NAWO National Awards, form part of the NAWO UK National Women’s Conference. These Awards recognise and celebrate organisations and individuals making outstanding contributions towards addressing the 12 Critical Areas of the Beijing Platform for Action and advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women.

We are delighted to announce that The Hon. Dr Jocelyn Scutt, Barrister and Human Rights Lawyer, who is the Founder of the Cambridge Women’s Parliament will be one of our esteemed Speakers at THE NAWO UK NATIONAL WOMEN’s CONFERENCE.

Dr Scutt, She has served as as President of the CEDAW People’s Tribunal 2020, Judge of the CEDAW People’s Tribunal 2021, and Chair and Founder of The CEDAW Women’s Parliament.

She was appointed Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 1996, and inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in 2001.

A prolific author, Dr Scutt’s most recent book with publisher Palgrave Macmillan is: “Women, Power and Autonomy: Rights Respect and Representation in Law and Society”

Dr Scutt attends the CSW as a member and delegate of the National Council of Women GB, and member of the Core Group of the UK Civil Society Women’s Alliance.
