Royal British Legion Muswell Hill & Highgate

Royal British Legion Muswell Hill & Highgate We are a child-friendly, family-orientated club and membership is open to everyone.

The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations. Members meet throughout the country (and overseas) in a network of branches and clubs, for social gatherings, and to participate in fundraising and activities. Your local branch and club is in Muswell Hill and we are always looking for new members to join. You do not have to have serv

ed in the Armed Forces to join, merely have an interest in our objectives and want to show support for those who have served and their families. Our Club is open six days a week – we have pool and snooker tables, two beer gardens, singing and entertainment acts, private parking and a function hall which is open for hire to members (for which we are able to provide private catering on request). You will also have the opportunity to get involved in regional and national events throughout the year. We also meet formally 4 times a year, at 11am on the first Sunday of the month to discuss Club business, member issues and any upcoming news and events. By joining the Legion you are ensuring two things:
• Remembrance is kept alive and that the sacrifices our brave Service men and women have made are never forgotten.
• That the ex-Service community have a voice and that their concerns are brought to the public eye. It also gives you the opportunity to be part of a growing social club within the community. If you are interested in becoming a member why not come and visit and have a look around. Membership forms are available and we can answer any questions you might have. You can find us at: The Royal British Legion Club House, Muswell Hill Road, London, N10 3NG. ABOUT THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION:
We provide financial, social and emotional care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces - past and present and their families. The Legion is also the national Custodian of Remembrance and safeguards the Military Covenant between the nation and its Armed Forces and is best known for the annual Poppy Appeal and its emblem the red poppy. Founded in 1921, the Legion is not just about those who fought in the two World Wars of the last century, but also about those involved in the many conflicts since 1945 and those still fighting for the freedom we enjoy today.

Your Poppy Appeal donations allow us to provide practical, financial and emotional support to veterans like Leon.

When he left the Armed Forces, he struggled to find his place in the world.

After joining the Army at just 16, he returned to civvy street with no place to live and no support network close by, whilst also battling severe PTSD.

When something goes wrong, we are there to help rebuild lives.

Thank you for helping us support veterans like Leon. Your donations are vital in ensuring we can continue to provide members of the Armed Forces community with the support they need to create a better future.
