🎨 We’re relaunching our Art for Fun workshops!

This time, we’re delighted to be working in partnership with Heatherleys School of Fine Art, who are providing an experienced art tutor to lead the sessions.

These relaxed, beginner-friendly workshops are a chance for anyone aged 60+ to learn to draw, try something new and enjoy getting creative in a warm and sociable environment.

No previous experience is needed. Learning a new skill can help build confidence, keep the mind active and bring a real sense of achievement — while also offering a lovely opportunity to meet new people.

Join us for our next Homeline Afternoon Tea on Monday 27 July, 2pm–3.30pm, with a special interactive Military History Workshop delivered by Danny from the National Army Museum.

This relaxed session will cover almost 400 years of history, with the chance to get hands-on with real historical items from the Museum’s world-class collection — including British Civil War helmets, Anglo-Zulu War medals, First World War battle dress and modern equipment.

No prior knowledge needed — just come along, enjoy a cuppa, and explore some fascinating history together.

A very special Busy Bees and Homeline farewell 💙🧶

After so many years of friendship, care and Monday afternoon knitting, we recently came together to say a heartfelt thank you to Camilla Robinson, who is moving away after being such an important part of Busy Bees for decades.

Camilla has helped make Busy Bees so much more than a knitting group. It has been a place of friendship, routine, creativity, cups of tea, shared stories and belonging.

To mark her wonderful contribution, the group presented Camilla with a very well-deserved “Queen of Knitting” certificate.

Thank you, Camilla, for every stitch, every welcome and every Monday afternoon you helped make special.

Happy Volunteers’ Week from The Creighton Centre! 💛

This week we were delighted to celebrate our wonderful volunteers with a summer pizza party — a small thank you for the enormous difference they make throughout the year.

From befriending and telephone calls, to reception, office support, community activities and our brilliant champions, our volunteers bring kindness, warmth and connection into everything we do.

Every phone call, friendly smile, visit, helping hand and moment of encouragement helps make The Creighton Centre the welcoming community it is.

As our poem says:

“You are valued, appreciated, and treasured too —
The Creighton Centre is better because of you.”

To all our volunteers: thank you for your time, care, humour, patience and heart. We are so grateful for everything you give.

Are you coming to our Health & Wellbeing Fair tomorrow? This FREE event is open to all residents, carers and professionals in Hammersmith & Fulham. Lots of stalls and demos on how to stay healthy and safe, plus free sample sessions of yoga, hand massage and much more, all rounded off with a scrumptious lunch provided by the Nourish Hub.
