Hackney UNISON is the local branch of the national trade union Unison which represents nearly 1.4 million members nationwide. We represent the interests of staff providing local government services in the Council, Hackney Education and schools as well as several private employers. We currently have over 2500 members and anyone working in local government or for a contractor providing local government services in Hackney can join.
