And last night our 2022-23 VITO Project Q***r Film Club season came to an end with a sold out screening of the deliriously entertaining THE DRIVER’S SEAT (1974) in collaboration with the This was the premiere of the new U.K. restoration, and one of the only times this long-unavailable movies has ever been screened commercially in this country! A massive thank you to Simon McCallum for inviting us to collaborate and for his work in saving this obscure and slightly deranged gem from complete obscurity. As Simon said in his intro, this was “the Holy Grail” for many of Elizabeth Taylor’s fan. A massive thank you to our friends at the BFI for giving us 5 copies of the gorgeous new Blu-ray of the movie - complete with delicious new extras and essays on the movie (now on sale).

A massive thank you to the VITO Team who has worked hard to bring this screening to life - especially our promoter Marko Waschke who even created special VITO badges for the event, and our marketing guru Paul Smith for his advertising wizardry. This will be our last event for a while, but stay tuned for news - we will be back!!

We will be celebrating the BFI’s Blu-ray release of a new 4K restoration – the first time the film is offically available in any format in the UK.
