The strength of our communities affects all aspects of our life, from our health and wellbeing to our local economy and environment. We are here to create opportunities for you, the community and local business. Everything we do is aimed at creating opportunity. We believe that resident empowerment is more than “getting involved”; it’s working together with people to help them get to where they want to go. We have a range of volunteering and personal development options throughout our neighbourhoods; from working with young people to maintaining our green spaces, there is something for everyone. We work with a wide range of partners to provide advice and support - from financial, digital, physical or emotional. We work holistically to build trust in the neighbourhoods we serve, working closely with resident groups and schools. Many staff are also residents, and we take pride in our local area and its fantastic diversity. We help keep Poplar safe and green through our commitment to our neighbourhoods and residents. We provide welcoming local centres home to a huge range of clubs and activities. We also run a whole host of events and activities across Poplar throughout the year, giving locals something new and bringing people from across London and beyond to the area.
