Our Women’s Group is a space for women to come together, build new skills and grow in confidence and independence 💜

From theatre and singing to candle making, stitching and other creative activities, our sessions give women the opportunity to learn, connect and express themselves in a welcoming environment.

We’re so happy to be able to provide this space and see women build friendships, discover new skills and empower one another ✨

Earlier this week, the Champions took part in a voice and video recording session, creating a strong foundation for their original short film inspired by the river 🌊

They recorded voiceovers developed during the previous writing workshop and also filmed and recorded a song exploring the theme of rivers, movement, and migration.

A huge thank you to Justyna Kabala, artist, filmmaker, and Senior Lecturer at the University of the Arts London, for leading these creative and collaborative sessions and supporting our Champions to bring their stories to life 💙

Throughout 2025, 1,300+ food parcels were distributed to people experiencing hardship through Greenwich Migrant Hub.

Every parcel represents practical support, dignity and solidarity when it is needed most.

Thank you to our volunteers, donors and community partners for helping us support migrant communities across London. 🤝

On 27 July, we joined partners at the Greenwich Borough of Sanctuary Network meeting to strengthen our shared commitment to making Greenwich a welcoming place for refugees and people seeking sanctuary.

As the Royal Borough of Greenwich prepares for the renewal of its Borough of Sanctuary Award, we were pleased to be joined by the Mayor of Greenwich, Councillor David Gardner, highlighting the borough's continued support for the Sanctuary movement.

Together, we're building a more welcoming Greenwich.

This summer, our Community Champions have been exploring the art of filmmaking through a collaborative project led by Justyna Kabala, artist, filmmaker, and Senior Lecturer at the University of the Arts London.

Over five hands-on workshops, they've learned new filmmaking skills, shared their ideas, and worked together to create an original short film inspired by the river.

More than just making a film, the project has been about building connections, celebrating different experiences, and exploring what journey, belonging, and community mean to each of us.

We can't wait to share the finished film with you at a special screening later this year. Watch this space! ✨

Great to meet with Vicky Foxcroft MP for Lewisham North to discuss how we can work together to better support refugees, migrants, and our wider community during these challenging times 🤝

We spoke about strengthening collaboration between our organisations, improving referral pathways to LRMN, and sharing updates on our services and campaigns.

Conversations like these are an important step towards making sure people can access the help they need more quickly and effectively 🧡
