Alexandra Palace

Alexandra Palace www.alexandrapalace.com Alexandra Palace was built as the 'People's Palace' over 140 years ago and today is run by a charity, for the benefit of everyone.

Ally Pally is an iconic north London destination that delivers a year-round programme of gigs, theatre, sports and exhibitions, as well offering a 196-acre park, ice rink and creative learning projects for the community. The seven acre Palace is surrounded by 196 acres of beautiful, award-winning parkland, and grounds that boast a bar and kitchen, boating lake and pitch & putt golf course, plus sp

ectacular views across London. The Palace itself has played host to iconic moments of cultural history, from the birth of public service television in the 1930s, through to epic gigs from the likes of the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Blur, Jay Z, Bjork and Florence and the Machine, to name just a few. In recent years, the Victorian Theatre - dubbed 'London's newest oldest theatre' having been reopened in 2019 following 80 years of closure - provides a year-round programme of theatre, comedy, musicals and spoken word performances. The venue's ice rink is open 365 days of the year, while an ever-increasing range of professional sports are making the Palace their home, including the World Darts Championship, Master Snooker and elite level boxing. Running alongside a packed cultural and leisure programme are the charity's Creative Learning initiatives, that use arts, culture and the environment to work with a range of groups, young and old, from across the local community and beyond. The Park and Palace have great transport links located just off the M1 and M25, with over 1,500 parking spaces, and only 10 minutes from London King's Cross by train and a short bus ride from Wood Green tube station.
