The Society was formed to assist in showing to men that such a thing as Theosophy exists, and to help them to ascend towards it by studying and assimilating its eternal verities. Summer Convention 2026

Monday 10th - Thursday 13th August
Hillscourt, Rose Hill, Lickey, Birmingham

It is that time of year again where we come together at our annual Summer Convention which will be held at the Hillscourt Conference Centre in Birmingham.

Our theme is Spiritual Voyage: Navigating Your Inner World and our guest speaker will be Patrizia Moschin Calvi, (National President of the Theosophical Society in Italy).

150th Convention 2025-2026
The Theosophical Society, Adyar

Held under the theme “One World, One Life: The Spirit of a New Humanity,” the Convention felt less like an anniversary looking backward and more like a collective pause—an invitation to listen deeply to what the present moment and the future may be asking of humanity.

About 30 countries were represented, with 752 members present in person and more than 1,000 participants joining online, forming a circle of reflection that extended across continents and cultures.

The Human Constitution: The Bridge Between Spirit and Matter –
An Zoom Talk by Andrew Swaffield

Sunday 7th December 6pm

An exploration of the sevenfold nature of man, showing how mind links our spiritual essence with our physical existence, and how evolution draws us from separateness toward unity.

Andrew was a Chief Executive in the aviation and loyalty industry for seventeen years. Together with his partner, he is now channeling his leadership experience into building a retreat business that supports business owners.

He is the President of Worthing Lodge, and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Theosophical Society in England and Wales. He has been studying the Theosophical teachings for more than twenty years, and has been an active member of Worthing Lodge for the past twelve years, where he had the privilege of studying under the late Alan Hughes.
