A few places on the team are already spoken for.

We're looking for the next people willing to take that first step.
Could it be you?

β˜€οΈ What a wonderful afternoon yesterday at our annual Wellbeing Summer Picnic!

This year, for the first time, we were delighted to welcome everyone who uses our wellbeing services, including patients, bereavement support groups, art groups, bereavement cafΓ©s, exercise and relaxation classes, for a special bring and share lunch at Michael Sobell House.

It was a fantastic opportunity for people to come together, catch up with familiar faces, make new connections and enjoy each other's company in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

A huge thank you to everyone who brought along delicious food to share and took part in our raffle, which raised an amazing Β£114 to support our wellbeing services.

Moments like these remind us that wellbeing is about so much more than healthcare. It's about community, connection and creating opportunities for people to support one another.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. πŸ’™

🌻 A little sunshine can make a big difference.

Our sunflowers are now in full bloom outside Lansdowne House, bringing a splash of colour and plenty of smiles to patients, visitors and staff.

The seeds were collected from last year's flowers and replanted, continuing a cycle of growth, renewal and hope. It's a simple reminder that even in difficult times, life continues to flourish.

Patients have shared just how much they mean to them:

πŸ’› "The flowers are so beautiful. It makes me so happy walking past them."
πŸ’› "The sunflowers are gorgeous and have brightened up my day."
πŸ’› "How lovely it is to come to the hospice with such beautiful colours to walk past."

Our Lymphoedema team often help care for the flowers, ensuring they continue to brighten the days of everyone who visits.

Sometimes it's the smallest things, like a few vibrant blooms, that can make the biggest difference. 🌻

Sometimes, the smallest visitors can make the biggest difference. 🐾

A recent visit from therapy dog Louie brought smiles, comfort and companionship to patients at Michael Sobell House, reminding us of the power of simple moments of connection.

Whether it's a wagging tail, a gentle nuzzle or a quiet moment together, visits like these can lift spirits, spark conversations and brighten someone's day.
