RSPCA South London Branch

Another food donation has made its way to the wonderful team at Lambeth and Croydon Foodbank! 💛

This time, we were also delighted to collect a donation of pet food from South London Cat Centre to take along with our own, helping even more food reach local families and their pets!

For people facing difficult circumstances, making sure their pets have enough to eat can be one more worry they simply don’t need. We’re so pleased to be able to pass on these donations and help make sure pets aren’t forgotten.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, and to Cats Protection South London Cat Centre for helping us add to the collection. Together, we can help keep pets happy, healthy and with the people who love them! 🐾

Write your Will for FREE this month!✍

Having an up-to-date Will is the only way you can ensure that your loved ones, and the causes you care about, are provided for as you would wish.

RSPCA South London Branch has partnered with Farewill to offer our most valued supporters the opportunity to write your Will for free online, or over the telephone. There is no obligation for you to include a gift to RSPCA South London in your Will, but we hope that you will consider it so that together, we can continue to help every animal in need.

By leaving a gift in your will to our charity, you are ensuring that the vital work we do for local animals can continue into the future and help serve the generations of animals to come. It is through your generous support that we can move closer to achieving our vision of a better future for animals in our area.

Act now!
Don't put it off any longer - visit the link here https://farewill.com/rspcasouthlondon, and create your Will for free (creating a Will typically costs around £100) within 15 minutes. Or call this number 020 8050 2686 to book an appointment, quoting RSPCA South London, to write your Will for free.

Please include a gift to RSPCA South London Branch so that your legacy as an animal lover will continue for generations to come.

Thank you.

We’ve recently lost some of our foster spaces, meaning we’re having to reduce the number of cats we can take into our care until we find new fosterers 😥

Fosterers provide a safe, temporary home for a rescue cat and help them settle and build confidence while they wait for their forever home. ❤️

All you need to do is provide the care, company and socialisation they need. Our team takes care of veterinary appointments and all transport, and we provide plenty of support throughout!

📍 We’re currently looking for fosterers in and around:
All CR postcodes
SE19, SE20, SE26 & SE27
SW12, SW17 & SW18

No previous fostering experience is needed!

A huge thank you to everyone who came forward offering to foster these two. We were so pleased to have so many people wanting to help them!

Jet and Rocket have been settling into their new shiny foster home for the last few days, so we thought it was time for an update 👀

They’re still a little skittish, but definitely becoming more relaxed. Jet is the braver of the two and has been coming over for strokes, with plenty of kneading and playful moments! Rocket is a little more nervous, but very food motivated and has been playing with us and her brother. 😻

We think they may be ready for rehoming in the next couple of weeks, but for now we’re going to let them take their time and keep you updated as they grow in confidence!

Would you like to help make a difference to the lives of kittens like these? We're recruiting for a new trustee to lead on our volunteering activity.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our branch. They help us rescue, care for and support animals across South London — and the more great volunteers we have, the more we can achieve.

Maybe you've recruited and managed a team professionally. Maybe you've built a volunteer programme from scratch. Maybe you're brilliant at getting people excited about a cause and making them feel part of something. Or perhaps you've simply got fantastic people skills, loads of common sense and the energy to make things happen.

If you can bring ideas, enthusiasm, organisation and a genuine passion for people and animal welfare, we'd like to hear from you.

Full details can be found here: https://volunteer.rspca.org.uk/opportunities/125250-trustee-volunteering-lead-2026-10-02

We can't wait to meet you! 😻

Beautiful kittens Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bo Peep had their first vaccinations and microchip today 🥹 See the last photos of them having a nap in their carrier on the way home!

These four are very beautiful but expensive for our branch to rescue and rehome; each kitten costing us £250 😱 If you can, please consider leaving us a donation via our JustGiving page, as this will help us better afford the next family that needs our help: https://www.justgiving.com/charity/rspcacroydon-crystalpalace

Thank you 🙏

Our gorgeous duo, Spike (tabby) and Willow (black), are really settling in now 😻

Named after two of the best Buffy characters 👀, these two sadly came from an area in Thornton Heath where unneutered cats had been left to breed and the population was quickly growing.

It’s a good reminder of just how quickly things can spiral when cats are left unneutered. Willow is now around 4 months old, which means she could soon be fertile and potentially have had kittens of her own if she had remained outside.

Neutering is one of the most important things we can do to help prevent unwanted litters and reduce the number of cats ending up without homes.

If you’re unsure about getting your pet neutered, or you’re struggling to afford it, please get in touch with us at [email protected]. We may be able to offer advice and point you in the right direction. 💙

We're coming to the end of the month and 'Sustainable September' which has seen us shining a light on how the charity retail sector makes a huge positive impact on the damaging environmental impact that fast fashion and clothing retail have on the planet. 🌎

By shopping in charity shops, not only are you donating to a good cause, but you’re stopping clothing ending up in landfill and helping to prevent the environmental damages caused by fast fashion.

Before you make that next new purchase, instead turn to one of our fabulous local charity shops for a unique and sustainable treasure.🛍️

We're also supporting Crystal Palace's Sustainable Fashion Week fashion show on Saturday 10th October in Upper Norwood so please come down and support!💃

Thank you! 😻
