Providing emergency food to individuals and families in crisis in the London borough of Enfield Who are we? Set up by Jubilee Church London(Reg. How does it work?

Working as part of the Trussel Trust, the North Enfield Foodbank provides emergency food to individuals and families in crisis in Enfield. Charity No. 1160372) and opened in April 2012, the Foodbank has provided, through donations, over 387 tonnes of food to our community. Front line agencies in the community refer clients they come into contact with who are in a crisis situation using a red vouch

er. The voucher entitles the client to 3 days worth of nutritionally balanced food and they collect their food at our distribution centre. They are welcomed in, given tea or coffee and the opportunity to talk to one of our volunteers who can signpost them to any other services that may be able to help resolve the crisis situation. How can you help? Donating food! Anyone can donate food and everything donated makes a difference to stop people going hungry. Can you volunteer for us? A huge thank you to Amazon HIG3 team in Enfield! We are so grateful for the incredible amount of food you’ve donated the foodbank - Thank you to Abdi and the his team and your timing couldn’t be better. The school summer holidays are our busiest, hardest weeks of the year: free school meals stop, family budgets stretch to breaking point, and the need for emergency food parcels rises sharply! Because of your generosity, more local families will have food on their table this summer! More people in crisis will be met with kindness instead of an empty cupboard. Our most needed items this week! One extra tin in your basket = a meal for a local family. ☕️ Or skip one takeaway coffee a week and donate that instead- just £5 a week for the next six weeks. You’d be amazed what that does. £30 feeds a child for a whole week. That’s 3 emergency food parcels - that’s at least 27 meals - for families and individuals going without this summer! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!💚🙏🏼

SUMMER APPEAL LAUNCH!💚🫶🏼 Today ALL schools are closing for their summer holiday! Here’s the thing about school holidays, 7 out of 10 food parcels we gave out last summer went to households with children. We need your help to ensure that this time, we have enough food parcels to give to families who will need help because free school meals’ not available in the next 6 weeks. Help us make sure that no child go hungry this summer.

Thanks to your warmth, your generosity and thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall, dropped something in the buckets, bought a raffle ticket Or treated themselves to a donut, YOU HAVE HELPED US KEEP FOOD ON THE TABLE FOR LOCAL FAMILIES FACING HARD TIMES.
