Dr Alastair Santhouse, Cambridge graduate and Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital, brings over 30 years of experience to one of the most powerful questions in modern medicine:
👉 Where does “normal” end, and mental illness begin?

In his acclaimed book No More Normal, he invites readers to explore the blurred boundaries between everyday struggles and clinical diagnoses, asking:

When does a low mood become depression?
When does a difficult experience become trauma?

🧠 Join Dr Santhouse on Tuesday, 2nd December, for an inspiring and thought-provoking event on redefining mental health in today’s world.

To the new doctors who began their careers last week - welcome. You’ve stepped into a profession of skill, compassion, and service, and we are proud to call you colleagues.

To those of us already here - our job isn’t just to lead, it’s to make space for them, to listen, to guide, and to protect the values that brought us all into medicine. A kind word, a shared coffee, a moment to ask “How’s it going?” - these are the small acts that can mean the world.

From Cambridge medical graduates: congratulations to the Class of 2025. You matter. Your voice matters.

We look forward to meeting you on September 29th (in person or on line)
