As cross boundary travel continues to grow across the Greater Bay Area, long term rail capacity and connectivity are becoming increasingly important topics for the sector.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in HK has released a new position paper exploring future demand pressures on Hong Kong’s high speed rail network, including the case for a second high speed rail line and station within the Northern Metropolis.

The paper also considers wider themes around regional integration, infrastructure planning and future mobility across the region.
