Zakat is a high act of worship guided by wisdom and balance. This narration from Abdullah ibn Umar (RA) reminds us of the importance of the hawlβ€”the completion of one lunar year over qualifying wealth before Zakat becomes due, ensuring that this pillar of Islam is fulfilled with fairness and clarity.

The Muwatta of Imam Malik is one of the earliest, most celebrated and influential collections of Hadith in Islamic history. For over 1,400 years, its narrations have been carefully preserved and passed from teacher to student through unbroken chains of transmission reaching back to the Messenger of Allah (SAW).

This Rabi al-Awwal, we’re raising Β£20,000 to help deliver a complete recitation of the Muwatta of Imam Malik with authentic sanad, continuing this remarkable tradition of Hadith transmission.

The funeral of another is a reminder of our own return to Allah (SWT). This hadith reminds us that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) would stand as a funeral procession passed by, regardless of the deceased’s faith, reflecting the dignity of death and encouraging us to remember the Hereafter.

Alhamdulillah, our Complete Recitation of Al-Muwatta’ of Imam Malik (RA) is now underway in Malaysia, and we are delighted to share some moments from the opening Majlis with our community, followers and donors.

The Majlis, known as Iftitah Maulid Nabi (SAW), began on the night of 13 August, marking the beginning of Sayyidul Ayyam. We were honoured to welcome our special guest, Dr Sayyid Musβ€˜ab al-Khair al-Idrisi, alongside Dato’ Dr Muhammad Fuad bin Kamaludin, Patron of South East Asian Islamic Council.

The evening began with the recitation of Maulid al-Mirghani, composed by Sayyid Muhammad Uthman al-Mirghani (RA), before continuing with the recitation of Al-Muwatta’ of Imam Malik (RA).

By the permission of Allah, the complete recitation is planned to conclude on 12 Rabiβ€˜ al-Awwal, the day of the Maulid of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

We are deeply grateful to see scholars, teachers, students and members of the public gathering together in one spirit: to revive the Prophetic Sunnah, preserve the legacy of our scholars, and enliven the days of Maulid by remembering and learning about the life and Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (SAW).

These are the fruits of your support. ❀️

For our community across the UK and Europe, we may not always have the opportunity to attend a Majlis of this scale in person. But through your support, you can share in the reward of helping this gathering take place and enabling the recitation to continue until its completion, inshaAllah.

We invite you to continue supporting our Β£20,000 fundraiser:

May Allah reward every donor and supporter abundantly, place barakah in your wealth, accept your contribution as a means of reviving the Sunnah, and allow us to live this life upon the way of our beloved Prophet (SAW) and receive his intercession in the Hereafter. 🀲🏼

When the world sleeps, the hearts of the righteous remain awake in remembrance of Allah (SWT). This beautiful supplication of Abu al-Darda (RA) reminds us of the special serenity of the night, when distractions fade and the believer turns to the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting.

Among the most beloved places on earth is the Rawdah of the Prophet SAW. This hadith reminds us of the immense virtue of the area between the Prophet’s home and his minbar in Al-Masjid an-Nabawiβ€”a place he described as one of the meadows of Paradise and which continues to draw the hearts of believers from across the world.

The Muwatta of Imam Malik is one of the earliest, most celebrated and influential collections of Hadith in Islamic history. The Prophet (SAW) taught us to turn to Allah in every time of need. This beautiful supplication for rain reminds us that rainfall is not merely a natural phenomenon, but a mercy from Allah Most High that brings life to people, animals and the earth itself.

The Prophet (SAW) taught us to respond to a solar eclipse with worship, not just wonder alone. This is an excerpt from a longer hadith describing his response, reminding us to turn to Allah Most High with humility, prayer and sincere repentance.

The Muwatta of Imam Malik is one of the earliest, most celebrated and influential collections of Hadith in Islamic history. For over 1,400 years, its narrations have been carefully preserved and passed from teacher to student through unbroken chains of transmission reaching back to the Messenger of Allah SAW.
