As this year's students look ahead to their next steps, how can we help next year’s GCSE students prepare not only for their exams, but also for life beyond school?

Our fun, interactive Financial Education Workshops are designed to help young people develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours needed to manage their money well as they prepare to become more financially independent.

Happy International Youth Day! 🎉

This year's theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations” recognises both the diversity and interconnectedness of youth experiences.

It is also a reminder of why access to Financial Education matters. At The Money Charity, we aim to help young people develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours needed to manage their money well, whatever their background or circumstances.

So far this year, we've reached over 25,000 children and young people across the UK through our Money Workshops. We're passionate about supporting young people to build confidence with money and prepare for their financial futures, and we look forward to reaching many more throughout the rest of 2026!

19% of UK adults often use a credit card, overdraft or borrow money to buy food or pay bills because they have run short of money, and more than half (52%) couldn’t last 3 months or more without borrowing if they lose their main source of income. (MaPS MoneyView 2026 report)

Our Credit & Borrowing Workshop is designed to help people make informed decisions about borrowing and understand how to access support for existing debt. It also gives practical tips on improving / building credit rating.

The Buy Now Pay Later market has grown significantly in recent years. In the 12 months to May 2024, 10.9 million UK adults (20%) used this form of credit, up from 8.8 million (17%) from the year to May 2022, according to the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority).
