Local Village Network

Local Village Network LVN is a charity that helps build the networks of vulnerable and less privileged young people

LVN provides services that have been developed in direct response to the ever growing social needs and issues effecting youth aged 14-24. At least 70% of jobs are not advertised and youth are facing the "toughest job market in a generation" (Institute of Employment Studies). One in 10 16-25 year olds have already lost their jobs due to Covid-19 according to the Centre for Economic Performance. Our

programmes and support have never been more crucial for the young people dealing with such challenging times.

Open your doors. Open a future.

Local Village Network is calling on businesses across London to offer meaningful work experience placements to young people ready to step into the world of work.

For many students, work experience is their very first insight into a professional environment. A short placement can:

• Build confidence and communication skills
• Develop workplace awareness
• Spark ambition and career direction
• Create life-changing connections

We work closely with schools and employers to make the process simple, structured, and impactful supporting both students and host organisations every step of the way.

If your business can offer a placement — whether for a week, a project, or a structured programme we’d love to collaborate.

🌟 Help shape the future workforce.

At Local Village Network, we connect businesses with motivated young people who are ready to gain real-world experience.

We’re currently inviting organisations to offer work experience placements to our students — giving them valuable exposure to the workplace, practical skills, and the confidence to take their next steps.

By hosting a placement, your business can:
• Support social mobility in your community
• Spot and nurture future talent early
• Make a tangible difference in a young person’s career journey

If you can offer a short-term placement or would like to explore how it works, we’d love to speak with you.

Real-world insight makes all the difference — and that’s exactly what brings to our volunteer programme. Through interactive sessions and practical engagement, your volunteers help students see how their skills translate beyond school walls. Your involvement encourages teamwork, strengthens communication, and shows students the value of confidence in professional settings. The energy and authenticity you bring helps create memorable learning experiences that stay with them long after the session ends.

We truly appreciate your continued support and impact.
