We welcome Resistencia Indigena, to celebrate the Day of indigenous Resistance or Indigenous people's day with a collective of some of the top andean and folkloric musicians from Latin america (Abya Yala) to reimagine Columbus Day and changes a celebration of colonialism into an opportunity to reveal historical truths of indigenous peoples in the Americas through their music, to organize against current injustices bringing the original roots of native music from latin america, lyrics in native language, rhythms, sounds and melodies with indigenous instruments.

Traditional Andean instruments as pan pipes, quenas, toyos, tarkas, bombos, gaitas, maracas and connection with amazonic and andean folk as a cultural resistance and transform the fiesta, the carnival, and the dance into a living shield of cultural preservation and survival. Join us for our musical journey of rhythms on 17th September and every third Thursday of the month at Casa del Ritmo showcasing some of the best emerging new Latin acts London offers for FREE. Celebrate this week with us Chilean day & Mexican day with traditional music and latin classic folklore from the americas followed by a global Latin Jam for everyone.

We welcome WentruDomo, a London-based music group that performs Chilean and Latin American folk and pop music. The name comes from the Mapudungun (Mapuche) language, where "Wentru" means men and "Domo"means women. Alongside Ruka Bonfire playing traditional latin american music with Andean instruments.
Afterwards we bring our special Latin Jamm with Las Jammas bringing a mix of Latin music and global rhythms. Bring your own instruments and join us for Free.

We will introduce the fantastic music from Venezuela by Wil Sifontes & AfroAmerica project, bringing the original sounds and traditional instruments of this beautiful country with a mix of Afro-Venezuelan and Caribbean popular rhythms. Free Entry!

The night is a Free Entry but also is in response to help our people of Venezuela after the earthquake. We will bring QR codes for donation to registered charities helping out from London. Your generosity can make a difference. Fuerza Venezuela!

Wil Sifontes & AfroAmerica project explore and reveal Venezuela’s rich legacy of African and Afro-Caribbean roots music. The tradition is great and takes on many forms. As such, with each beating of the Venezuelan drum there is a connection with the coast, the beach, the santería, their celebrations and dances.

Venezuela is known for its own tropical sounds and other imported styles, Some folkloric rhythms rely on the cuatro (small four string guitar) as their rhythmic and harmonic base. It is used in most genres of the different regions of Venezuela, Joropo llanera and Parranda to el sonido del tambor de la costa, Gaita to Calypso, merengue and others. The country produced the global superstars and also big part of this contribution is part of some of our musicians here in London, one of them is his musical director WILMER SIFONTES from Caracas Venezuela, one of London’s most accomplished, outstanding and prolific percussionists. He has established himself as one of the UK’s leading Latin musicians and has worked with some of the UK’s leading bands and world music artists.

This 20th July join us to celebrate Colombian independence day with a special tribute to the music of the amazing Queen of Cumbia and cultural icon "Toto la Momposina" by Angelica Lopez and her full band, one of the most recognized artists in the UK from Cartagena spreading Colombian folklore for many years around Latin America, Asia and Europe inspired by the traditional gaitas & Tambores, the sound of Papayera and the fusion of rhythms in the evolution of Toto's musical legacy.

An Independence Day fiesta like no other.

We celebrate the cultural icon who brought the sounds of Afro-Colombian and Indigenous traditions to audiences around the world, Totó La Momposina.

Through cumbia, bullerengue, tambora and mapalé, Totó preserved generations of musical tradition while inspiring countless Latin artists.

Led by Colombian singer Angelica Lopez and a full live band, the evening draws on the vibrant rhythms, rich percussion and communal spirit that defined Totó’s music.

Host & DJ CarlitosNiño will bring the past and present sounds of Colombian music. Unmisable night!

*Totó la Momposina passed away in Mexico in May 2026 at the age of 85. She will be remembered forever in our hearts. Thanks for all.
