May is Brain Tumour Awareness Month - a time to honour and remember those we’ve lost to this devastating disease, and to stand together in hope and action. 💕

The 13th annual “Remembering Rudy” Walk is here! 💛

Kicking off today, Sunday 3 May, to Sunday 7 June, you can take part and show your support by either walking, running, skipping, or even dancing in memory of Rudy. Rudy died on his 26th birthday, shortly after being diagnosed with gliomatosis cerebri, a rare brain cancer.

🥁 It’s time for the 13th annual “Remembering Rudy” Walk! 👣 🌍

This year, the walk will take place from May 3rd to June 7th and the virtual format will mean you can take part no matter where in the world you are, once more. We ask that you walk (or run, or skip, or dance, or just get moving) wherever you are, whenever you can, individually, but as one, with the goal of collectively completing “A Walk Around the World for Rudy”. 💃🕺

What are we doing: We are once again walking individually but as a team, counting our steps and total distance walked, with the goal of collectively walking around the world in memory of Rudy. That equates to approximately 60-65 million steps in total or 7,000-10,000 steps per person, per day.

When is it happening: The walk will start on May 3rd and end on June 7th (inclusive), giving us 35 days to walk around the world together! 🌎

How will it work: We are asking for a £25 fee to register as a walker paid via Eventbrite. Once the Walk begins all walkers are encouraged to seek to raise funds through sponsorship from friends, family, colleagues, etc. and will receive instructions and a link to collect sponsorship. We will be using the Big Team Challenge (BTC) platform to monitor our progress around the world over the course of the month. 💛

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night’s Rudy’s Regulars Wine Tasting. The drinks were flowing, the competition was fierce, and some fantastic prizes went home with our winners! 🍷🎉

Most importantly, every laugh, sip, and raffle ticket helped support the incredible work of the Rudy A Menon Foundation, raising awareness and funding vital research into rare and inoperable brain cancers. 💛

The Rudy A Menon Foundation is hosting the next Rudy’s Regulars Wine Tasting on Saturday, 15th November! 💫 The format will once again be a fun and light-hearted twist on a wine tasting. As you know, it’s all for a great cause, helping to raise awareness and fund research on rare and inoperable brain cancers. This time the event is being hosted at the wine-centric private members’ club, 67 Pall Mall, and once again we will have a wine raffle at the end. The format is a “call my bluff” style of tasting in which you will blind-taste a wine and then listen to three different professional wine educators tell you about the wine you just tasted, however, two of them will be lying to you and it is your job to determine which one is telling the truth!

There will be prizes for the winners, a raffle for some great bottles of vino, light bites and a lot of free-flowing wine!
