Nine in 10 women say that their neurologist did not discuss the potential impact of hormones on their Parkinson’s. This is something which has to change.

In this powerful and important interview, Parkinson's Europe board member Cathy Molohan talks about how women's experience of Parkinson's can differ from men's, how menopause and Parkinson's can interact and where we go from here.

We're so proud to have Cathy as such an amazing advocate for Parkinson's and women's health. 💚

A shocking statistic on the cost of Parkinson's in Europe.

It comes from a new study – The Costs of Parkinson's Disease in Europe: Results of the Costs of Illness in Neurology Initiative – which our Strategic Director Amelia Hursey co-authored for the European Academy of Neurology

Medical costs, people having to step out of the workforce, and informal caregiving all contribute, equating to an annual mean cost of €14,278 per person living with Parkinson's.
