THURSDAY 18 June: INTERNATIONAL SALVATION ARMY
Indonesia Territory
‘As The Salvation Army in Indonesia, we are a church that embodies the love and salvation of Jesus Christ. Our motto is “heart to God, hands outstretched to others”.’
Lord, we give thanks for the work of The Salvation Army in Indonesia, and particularly today for its work with children and older people. We thank you for the faithful honouring of your mandate to care for the most vulnerable in society, and we pray that the places where this care happens will be places of encounter with the living God. We pray for the territorial leadership team: Colonels Hosea and Liliana Makagiantang and Lieutenant-Colonels Alberth and Elsi Sarimin.

WEDNESDAY 17 June: JUSTICE AND RECONCILIATION
Refugee Response – Shalom
We ask for shalom in our communities: a spirit of reconciliation and wholeness that transcends difference; for communities where each person is recognised and loved for their unique contribution, no matter their race, background or journey to this point; communities where people are heard and their concerns lovingly addressed, and each person recognises their responsibility to the other and the wider world.
Ben Still, Refugee Response Manager

TUESDAY 16 June: SERVING AND CARING
South West Division – Leaders
Many of our corps do not have local leaders. Pray with us for more leaders: people who will help officers in the ministry and mission of the Church, and people who will pray, encourage and offer practical support to officers.
Major Paul Billard, Divisional Leader

MONDAY 15 June: SHARING THE GOOD NEWS
Ireland Division – New mission opportunities
We are actively exploring missional opportunities across our corps and homeless services, with a Holy Spirit led drop-in in the Londonderry Corps building, and a Dublin-wide mission focus group. These are exciting times for us; pray for discernment, the opening of doors, and the courage to obediently follow, as the wind blows where it will (John 3:8).
Captain Jonathan Rouffet, Divisional Leader

SUNDAY 14 June: SABBATH PRAYER
Jesus the Son
‘For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form …’ (Colossians 2:9, NIV)
Holy Trinity, you are the trifold community of love, yet you poured the very essence of yourself into one human body, that we might know you. We wonder and we worship.
Jesus, you came to show us what the bond of love looks and feels like; not a one-man magic show but the overflow of a community of love. As you ministered here on earth, you did so in the strength of the Father who called you ‘Beloved’, and in the power of the Spirit who rested on you. As we seek to build community in a world where division and selfishness sometimes feel overpowering, teach us to welcome that same strength, that same love and that same power into our lives.

SATURDAY 13 June: CARE FOR CREATION
Climate Innovation – Geothermal energy
For centuries, the world has largely relied on burning fossil fuels to provide heating. Yet this has done serious damage to the natural environment which we rely on to survive, and so new methods of accessing heat are needed. Pray for those who are designing effective methods for drawing heat from the Earth’s core, for boldness to try out radical ideas, and for ingenuity to devise systems which are compact and efficient. Pray that those who hold wealth will be willing to turn away from funding fossil fuel extraction and put their money into these less destructive methods.

FRIDAY 12 June: GROWING IN FAITH
Intercultural Mission Conference (12–14 June at Yarnfield Park)
The theme of this year’s Intercultural Mission Conference is Breaking Ground, Bringing Hope. Pray for those involved in presenting the conference, especially our guest speakers, Majors Heidie and Richard Bradbury. Pray too for those involved in leading the workshops. Pray that everyone who needs to be there will be there, and that nothing will stop them from attending. We are also at a new venue, so pray that everyone will find Yarnfield Park Conference Centre easily, and that being there will be a good experience.
Major Marjory Parrott, Intercultural Mission Officer

THURSDAY 11 June: INTERNATIONAL SALVATION ARMY
India Eastern Territory
Lord, we pray today for the work of The Salvation Army in Eastern India and Nepal. We pray that you will provide for the needs of the officers, employees and volunteers who run corps and social centres, and we pray that you will multiply the available resources so that more of the people who come to them for help can receive it. We give thanks for the solid culture of prayer that underpins the Army’s work in India, and pray that you will strengthen that underpinning even more. We bless the territorial leadership team with time and space to seek you in prayer: Colonel Lalbulliana Tlau, Colonel Lalnunhlui Khawlhring and Lieut-Colonels Masilamani and Y. S. Kezial Stalin

WEDNESDAY 10 June: JUSTICE AND RECONCILIATION
Refugee Response – Asylum
Lord, we ask that you will make your presence known to those seeking sanctuary in the UK and Ireland. Many have escaped traumatic situations, experienced dangerous journeys, navigated traumatising bureaucratic processes, and suffered abuse from individuals and the media in our countries. We pray that they will encounter people of peace, that their situations will be changed, and that they will be filled with the hope you bring.
Ben Still, Refugee Response Manager

TUESDAY 9 June: SERVING AND CARING
‘Brengle Institute’ (9–17 June at William Booth College)
Lord, we thank you for the Brengle Institute and its calling to teach holiness and to deepen spiritual life. Renew and inspire officers and territorial envoys as they gather; strengthen their fellowship and attentiveness to your Spirit. Equip each participant to live out holiness practically, so their ministries and daily lives faithfully reflect your transforming grace.
Major Gordon Cotterill, Secretary for Spiritual Life Development
