The Fatima Tubman Foundation aims to inspire communities nationwide and worldwide to create other projects such as this. Objectives
- We will set up various projects, which will focus specifically on the needs of people within London and surrounding areas.
- We will Partner with existing organisation that are successful serving the needs of the of their targeted communities in order to build our network, in order to insure we have the right skills and training and to insure that our volunteers are galvanised in the most appropriate way.
- We will promote what we are doing and what we have done on our website and our social networking sites in order to inspire people and so other organisations and groups can use what we have done as a template.
- Where we can, we will work with local authorities in order to see which groups within our given area are most in need of support.
- Where we can we will work in conjunctions with local communities groups including Mosques in order to keep our roots and sites firmly in and for the local community (being London).
- Among the various places we will advertise for volunteer, we will look within Muslim communities, although not exclusively to this demographic.
- We will provide training for all of our volunteers.
- We will produce the results of our findings, and we will publish our results and achievements as well as offer a consultancy service to those wishing to run similar projects and programmes in their own areas.
- We will provide an educational service where we can offer workshops for schools as well as training on volunteering.
