Our member charity The Theatrical Guild is inviting you to take on their 2026 Fundraising Challenge: Climb Over the O2 on Friday 18th September 2026, raising vital funds for their Beneficiary Grants Programme - supporting backstage and front of house theatre workers through times of hardship.

On Friday 18th September, TTG are taking on the iconic O2 climb to raise vital funds for their Beneficiary Grants Programme, supporting backstage and front of house theatre workers through times of hardship.

Here's how to get involved:
📩 Register your interest by 30th June at [email protected]
💷 Sign-up fee: £37 | Fundraising target: £250 per person
🕒 Climb kicks off at 3pm - 90 minutes to conquer that dome!

How to register:

2️⃣ You'll receive payment details for your sign-up fee
3️⃣ Once confirmed, you'll be linked to TTG's Just Giving campaign
4️⃣ Complete your O2 Waiver Form before the day

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 - 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻!

Dance Professionals Fund is opening a second round of applications of the Best Foot
Forward Professional Development Grants due to demand. The opportunity to apply
runs until 8 June, 2026.

These grants are for up to £5,000 to support dance professionals to extend their dance
career. Funding can be used for activities like short courses, training or other
opportunities that help build your skills and increase your overall income.

If you’d like to apply, please submit your details as soon as possible. Slots to discuss
your idea with us will fill up fast, so it’s a good idea to get your name in early.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 - 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 🏆

We're sharing this footage from a Golden Bucket Awards ceremony that holds a very special place in our hearts, because it features the incomparable Dame Maggie Smith, presenting alongside Sir Derek Jacobi.

Watching it back, her words feel more true than ever:

She said it so simply. And she was so right.

In this clip, Dame Maggie and Sir Derek present the Golden Bucket Award for Regional to The Wipers Times at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, who raised an extraordinary £6,371.67 for theatre people in need.

Dame Maggie Smith gave so much to this industry, on stage, on screen, and in moments like this one, where she showed up simply because she cared. We feel so lucky to have had her in our corner. She is so deeply missed.

There really is no business like it 🥹

Actor Matt Lapinskas, best known as Anthony Moon in 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 and runner-up on 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝙘𝙚, is running the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 to raise funds for Acting for Others and Theatre Chaplaincy UK.

Every mile he runs supports theatre workers facing hardship. Every donation keeps our network of 14 charities doing what they do best.

Last night, the Royal Albert Hall reminded us why we do what we do. 🏆
The 2026 Olivier Awards celebrated the performers, directors, designers, choreographers, and sound and lighting teams who make British theatre the best in the world.
We're so proud to work in an industry full of people like these.
Congratulations to all the winners, and to every theatre professional who gives everything to this art form, night after night.

The Golden Bucket Awards 2026 are happening on Tuesday 21st April, 2pm - 4.30pm, hosted by the one, the only, Carl Mullaney - a man who absolutely deserves to be in a sequinned jacket at 2pm on a Tuesday.
