Earlier this month, the iniva team held our away day at Lauderdale House. It was a chance to step back, reflect on our work, and welcome new team members as we gear up for our transformative project, Living Legacies: Collaboration, Community and Radicality. 🌱
In the afternoon we were joined by our trustees and Living Legacies partner organisations, and had the joy of hearing about their vital community work in Westminster, Lambeth and Southwark. Their feedback and open conversations throughout the day were invaluable in shaping how we embark on this project. 💪
Thank you to Lauderdale House, all the partner organisations, trustees and, of course, the team for making the day so special. 💓
Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Living Legacies is a four-year project rooted in the legacies of Global Majority artistic practice. It activates iniva's unique visual arts archive, centred on radical global art histories, and reconnects it with contemporary communities in Westminster, Lambeth and Southwark through co-created exhibitions, events, podcasts and digital resources. The project foregrounds identity, belonging and cultural memory through intergenerational partnerships with young people (16–25), older adults (65+), artists, educators and grassroots organisations.
