Waltham Forest Women's Network (WFWN) WFWN is a well established women’s only volunteer-led organisation where local women from Waltham Forest help and support local women. Instagram:

The main purpose of the Waltham Forest Women’s Network is to improve the health and wellbeing of local women by:

Providing a support network for women

Progressing the development of liaison between the communities of Waltham Forest

Providing forums for communities, women’s networks and their leaders to engage in dialogue, and to exchange information on ways in which they can develop their commu

Women of all backgrounds and beliefs, age as well as ability are encouraged to join. We provide a women only space for all our events and are always open to new ideas and newcomers. Our committee members have forged important links within the community over time. We are very supportive and are from a variety of backgrounds with different expertise. Our ultimate aim is to create ‘Happy, Healthy Women’. If you would like to volunteer or attend any of our events please message us

Today is one of my favourite days in the calendar. 💚

May 28 — International Day of Action for Women's Health & Menstrual Hygiene Day.

Two reminders, one powerful message: women's health is essential, not optional.

Whether it's hormonal health, reproductive wellbeing, or simply being able to manage your cycle with dignity and without stigma every woman deserves access to knowledge, care, and support.

This year's theme says it all: Essential, Not Optional. Because in a world of competing priorities and pressures, women's health too often gets pushed to the bottom of the list by systems, and sometimes by ourselves.

So today I want to ask you: when did you last put your own health first?

Not as a luxury. Not as something to get to "when things calm down. But as a non-negotiable.

You are worth that investment. Always. 💚

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve had to cancel our Women’s History Month event this March.

And honestly this wasn’t an easy decision.

International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month mean so much to us as an organisation. Celebrating women, uplifting women, creating space for women that’s at the core of everything we do.

But we also recognise that March is a deeply important time for many in our community, with Ramadan and Eid. And we never want to create something that unintentionally excludes or limits who can be part of it.

Because for us, it’s about all women.

So instead we’re going bigger

Within the next couple of months, we’ll be hosting a Women’s Health & Stories AGM a powerful space for connection, conversation, and community.

A space where:
Women’s voices are heard
Stories are shared
Knowledge is exchanged
And real connection is built

Because your story matters. Women’s stories matter.

And every woman deserves to feel: Safe. Supported. Empowered. Connected.

So when tickets are released, please do book early it really helps us shape something meaningful for you and our wider Waltham Forest community ❤️

This is more than an event.
It’s about bringing women together with understanding, compassion, and love.

And that is something worth waiting for.

To every woman finding her voice, starting again, supporting others, and showing up even when it’s hard you are powerful.

Here’s to women supporting women.
