✨Light of Kailash 31 | Himalayan Buddhist Art: Gods, Monsters, Mandalas, and Meditation

What comes to mind when you think of Buddhist art? Peaceful Buddhas and serene temples? Tibetan Buddhist art tells a much more dramatic story.

Join artist and author Rose Woodward for a fascinating exploration of thangkas, mandalas, and the deep connection between Tibetan Buddhist art and practices of visualisation. Rose will reveal how these works function as structured tools for meditation and knowledge transmission — and how modern neuroscience now supports the powerful role of visualisation in shaping attention, memory, and learning.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Shang Shung UK Fish Release 2026. 🙏

Together, we helped save over 7,500 lives at Begnas Tal. Sacred purtsa salt connected with the body of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, along with a consecrated mixture containing Karmapa black pills and relics of great masters, was offered into the water—sharing a connection with the Dharma for all aquatic beings.

A small action, with vast intention.
Thank you for being part of it. 💙

🐟 Last Chance — Fish Release 2026, Order Before Midnight on May 1st ✨🐟

You still have until midnight on May 1st (UK time) to take part in one of the most powerful and compassionate practices in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition: Tshe Thar — the release and saving of lives.

Through our Fish Release initiative, you can sponsor fish in Nepal that would otherwise face slaughter.

Each fish will be blessed with mantras and given myong grol — liberation through tasting — offering precious substances that plant the seed of a higher future rebirth.

🌿 It is traditional to save a number of fish equal to your age, though you are warmly welcome to offer any number you wish.

⭐ This practice is especially recommended in 2026 for those born in the following years:

🐍 Snake: 1929 · 1941 · 1953 · 1965 · 1977 · 1989 · 2001 · 2013 · 2025

As Chatral Rinpoche taught: "Among all positive actions, there is none with greater merit than saving lives."
