EVCC The Code applies to EV chargepoints installed in domestic properties throughout the UK.

The Code is open to businesses active in the EV chargepoint sector who are offering to install chargepoints at private domestic premises. As well as requiring compliance with all relevant legal provisions, the Code has been designed to dovetail with the Institute of Engineering and Technology’s Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, and the Building Regulations inc

luding the Wiring Regulations. The Code has been developed by Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd (REAL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the REA, the largest association for renewable energy and associated clean technology in the UK. REAL operates a number of certification schemes and consumer codes, including the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, all of which promote sustainable energy in the renewable energy and circular economy sectors.
