St Paul's Knightsbridge

St Paul's Knightsbridge The official page for St Paul's Knightsbridge.

An Anglican church of Anglo-Catholic tradition, founded in 1843 as part of the development of the Grosvenor Estate in north Belgravia. St Paul's today maintains a traditonal pattern of worship and daily prayer, a lively musical tradition and a commitment to good preaching and thoughtful Christian witness. The congregation is as eclectic as it is welcoming - and seeks to be open to all who come fro

m all over the city (and indeed all over the world!), but above all it is a parish church, rooted in the local community.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Helo, Cymru! 👋

A group of pilgrims from St Paul’s Knightsbridge spent some time last week walking the Cadfan Way in North Wales, following in the footsteps of the 5th-century saint, St Cadfan.

Clambering through gorse, taking in spectacular scenery, and embracing every kind of Welsh weather along the way, they worshipped in some of Britain’s earliest churches and forged lasting friendships on the journey.

If you’d like to find out more about the pilgrimages and other trips we have planned for 2027, do speak to a member of the team after Mass.

✨ Today the Church celebrates the Birth of St John the Baptist.

Often regarded as the last and greatest of the prophets, John devoted his life to preparing the way for Christ and proclaiming His coming. Never drawing attention to himself, he continually pointed others towards Jesus.

At St Paul’s Knightsbridge, a carving of St John the Baptist stands at the steps of our pulpit, holding the Lamb of God. Its placement carries a subtle but powerful theological message: before Christ is preached from the pulpit, John announces Him.

As John himself declared: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30)

☀️ Find a moment of cool in the church today between 9am and 5pm, where you might also be lucky to hear the rehearsal of who are performing this evening.

Today, the Church celebrates Corpus Christi - the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ.

Established in the 13th century, Corpus Christi gives thanks for Christ’s gift of himself in the Holy Eucharist. While Maundy Thursday remembers the institution of the Eucharist, Corpus Christi provides a dedicated day to rejoice in its mystery and grace.

At the heart of the feast is the belief that, in Holy Communion, Christ is truly present among his people - nourishing, strengthening and drawing us into deeper communion with God and one another.

You are welcome to join us this evening for our weekday Mass at 6:30pm. For information on other services throughout the week, please visit the link in our bio.

A real joy to celebrate the Holy Sacrament of Baptism and Confirmations this morning at St Paul’s Knightsbridge on the Feast of Pentecost - the fiftieth day after Easter, when the Holy Spirit descended upon those first called by Christ, and continues to descend upon those called today.

As Bishop Michael reminded us:

Christ has no hands but your hands to do His work today,
No other feet but your feet to lead folk on His way,
No other lips but your lips to tell them why he died,
No other love but your love to win them to his side.
Amen.

St Teresa of Avila (1515-1582)
