General information
Jamboulay Carnival Arts Promotion is a costume carnival band focusing on historical and traditional carnival Arts. It is also a voluntary non-profit making group managed by a management committee with charitable purposes led by Rubena Waldrop. The group is based in the diverse borough of Hackney, East London and has been in existence since 1996. Over the years, Jamboulay has taken part in on road parade for Nottinghill, Hackney, and other national Carnivals including the Isles of Wight illuminating night carnivals. As part of the Carnival Development Arts Network (CAD-net) Jamboulay organised and delivered costume master classes, hosted small exhibitions of its recent works and performances.
