Satsang United Kingdom Satsang UK promotes the awareness about the philosophy and ideology of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra Free vegetarian dinner is served at the end.

Satsang, a social movement to elevate every human being in the society, was initiated by Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra (1888-1969), a prominent spiritual leader and philanthropist, in the first decade of the last century. Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra advocated for the comprehensive development of every individual by introducing eternal discipline in every aspects of life by practicing scientific and focused meditation. He felt that once every individual is disciplined, the society will be free from evil forces, intolerances and sectarian conflicts. Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra has presented the way of life in balanced, dynamic, rationalistic approach from scientific aspects. HIS wisdom ranged from health to education, from science to philosophy, from literature to politics etc. In His life time, thousands of messages for the betterment of human beings uttered from His mouth. Few of His thought provoking messages are mentioned here:

“The ideas and activities that lead man towards the Cause are Spiritualism”

“What upholds the existence of an object is Dharma…”

“A holy man is no magician; rather, a renunciator, a lover...”

The main ashram of Satsang is located in Deoghar (Jharkhand, India). At the present there are more than 80 million followers of Sree Sree Thakur and more than 5000 Satsang centres in India and outside India. Satsang UK, UK branch of Satsang, organises regular monthly Spiritual Congregation on His philosophy of Universal Brotherhood. All these congregations consist devotional songs, meditation and spiritual discussions. Books and periodicals related to Sree Sree Thakur’s philosophy are made available at free of cost. Everyone across community, faith, race and is invited in all these Satsang events.

Please find a few glimpses of 19th Satsang UK National Congregation to celebrate 139th Birth Anniversary held at Purley, South London on 26th September 2026.

With the grace of Sree Sree Thakur and with the blessings of Sree Sree Acharyadeva, the Utsav was honoured by the participation of Mr Bobby Dean MP, alongside a number of civic and community representatives, including Councillor Prakash Singh, Councillor Subhash Mohindra, Councillor Gurucharan Singh and Councillor Sharad Kumar Jha from Slough.

The event also welcomed representatives from multiple South London based community organisations. NHS Blood and Transplant supported its “What’s Your Blood Type?” (WYBT) campaign, raising health awareness and encouraging blood donation conversations. Other participants included Ms Dawn Fielding of Sutton Tree Wardens; Ms Clementine Sloggett and Mr Ross Harvey of Sutton Primary Care Networks (Sutton PCNs); and Ms Razia Sattar, Head of Partnerships, Impact and Equalities at Community Action Sutton, representing Sutton’s voluntary, community and faith-sector network. Their involvement reflected Satsang UK’s growing commitment to relationships beyond its spiritual community.
