August 2011 riot in Tottenham, threw up a number of youth issues and the recognition that young people are growing up with little hope of enjoying the benefits to be derived on becoming adults. Additionally, many have few opportunities and little time to learn the social skills necessary, acquire the knowledge needed, or learn how to make positive transitions into adulthood and specifically,the wo

rkforce. Jems Yacedi is set up to implement youth and community development initiatives in collaboration with beneficiaries, partner agencies and other stakeholders. Jems Yacedi is led by Youth Work Professionals, Teachers, Social Workers, Lawyers, etc with combined work experience of over 100 years in Africa, Caribbean, Asia, Pacific and UK. Objectives:

a) Facilitate the participation of youth in society as mature and productive individuals. b) Act as resource and provide sustainable livelihoods youth programmes. c) Support and provide activities to enhance youth emotional skills and intelligence.
