Brady Garden

Brady Garden The Brady Garden is a place of peace in the middle of East London. We encourage the Environment, Wildlife and People in the community for enjoy this space.

A new initiative by local volunteers which is held at the Brady Arts and Community Centre in Whitechapel, East London. We encourage locals to get in touch with the natural world and grow their own food. Local volunteers have been busy keep clearing the garden, pruning trees and growing new plants in order to revive the Brady Garden. The garden has also has a decking and outdoor seating. Our aim is

to make the garden more user friendly and open it up to the local community, especially those who have little access to green spaces. The Brady Garden is looked after by community volunteers whose aim is to increase the biodiversity in and around the centre. They meet on a fortnightly basis to plan and to work each month. The centre is situated in between the very densely populated areas of Brick Lane and Whitechapel in East London where there is very little green space. We hope the the Brady Garden will become an oasis of biodiversity within the middle of this concrete jungle. Brady Garden Group are looking for volunteers to offer a hand during monthly planting sessions as well as donations, tools, compost and seeds. The group aims to launch a series of initiatives inspired by the garden including planting sessions, art drawing sessions and storytelling performances in time for the summer.
