What a truly special evening at the 30th anniversary Legends of Football! ⚽🎶

We're incredibly grateful to footballing legends Thierry Henry and Karen Carney for helping shine a spotlight on our work and raise vital funds to help us change even more lives through music therapy.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the event possible and to all who came along to support us, including Texas who gave an epic performance. We're especially thankful to our Family Ambassador Ebony, who gave a powerful and inspiring speech about the difference music therapy has made to her son, George.

Ahead of the event, Thierry, Karen and Sharleen Spiteri visited our music therapy sessions to see the impact of our work firsthand and spoke movingly about what they experienced. One of the most touching moments of the evening came when Thierry presented his award to Ebony and her partner Steve to pass on to George 💚

Ivan spoke to us about his father Joe’s music therapy sessions with David at Heathlands Village run by THE FED and why they're so important for his wellbeing.

As Joe’s dementia has progressed, he has found verbal social interactions increasingly confusing and frustrating, which is why making music is such an important way for him to connect with others.

Allen was diagnosed with early onset dementia and due to the condition, he experiences daily challenges, including difficulty with communication and socialising, and disorientation and confusion.

With his music therapist Emily, Allen is able to communicate without words, and be playful through music. The sessions have been beneficial for both Allen and his wife, Marie, who said: "Through this condition there is a lot missing in Allen’s life, but with his love and ability to communicate through music this experience has been very valuable to us both."

Last night Snow Patrol put on a spectacular performance at the Royal Albert Hall and what made it even more special was that all proceeds went to Nordoff and Robbins!

There were also donations at the bar and our volunteers fundraised throughout the night.

A massive thank you to Snow Patrol, their amazing fans and our friends at the Royal Albert Hall for their incredible support. Together they’re helping us transform more lives through music therapy and we couldn’t be more grateful 💚
