North London Hospice

North London Hospice Every year North London Hospice provides specialist end-of-life support to more than 3,500 patients

North London Hospice is a registered charity that has been caring for local people since 1984. We help those with a potentially life-limiting illness who have specialist needs. We welcome people from all faiths and communities within the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey offering physical, emotional and spiritual care. We are now also able to offer some of our services to people within Camden and Islington.

There’s still time to bring in your spare change and join in our August Get Change Challenge!

Inspired by our wonderful supporter Lilian and her friends, who turned years of loose change from their get together Kalooki games into a donation to the hospice, we're challenging our supporters to see what spare change is hiding in plain sight this August!

Take a look in your handbag, sports kit bag, car, pockets, kitchen drawers, or that forgotten jar of coppers gathering dust on a shelf. Collect your loose change throughout the month and donate it to North London Hospice by 31 August.

Welcome to Jade Ward, the temporary home of our Inpatient Unit while our hospice undergoes an important redevelopment. 💙

While the building may be different, the care remains the same. Our dedicated hospice team is here to provide the kindness, expertise and compassion that make our hospice so special, in a calm and welcoming environment for patients and their loved ones.

A Special Reunion for Sharon and Bluebell

Our patient Sharon recently enjoyed a heartwarming reunion with her beloved horse, Bluebell, after not being able to see her for more than two months due to her illness.

Thanks to the wonderful support of Strength & Learning Stables in Barnet, where Bluebell is currently being cared for, Bluebell was able to visit the hospital, allowing Sharon to spend precious time with her horse alongside her family.

A huge thank you to Catherine and the team at the stables for their kindness and generosity in making this special moment possible.

What an achievement, congratulations Jaxon! At just 7 years old, Jaxon has completed his fourth fundraising challenge for North London Hospice, reaching the summit of Mount Snowdon alongside his dad and cousin Lily.

Jaxon took on this incredible climb in memory of his beloved uncle Anthony, and thanks to his determination and the amazing support of friends, family and supporters, he has raised almost £800 from this challenge alone. 💙

Together, Jaxon, Lily and Jaxon's dad conquered the mountain, all while raising vital funds for local hospice care and honouring Anthony's memory in a truly special way.

A very well done and thank you to Team Jaxon!

When words are no longer possible, art can speak volumes.

Yvonne, one of our community patients, has motor neurone disease and has lost the ability to speak. A professional artist throughout her life, her paintbrush has become a vital way to communicate, connect and express herself, allowing her creativity, personality and voice to shine through every piece she creates.

We were honoured that Yvonne generously shared her story with us, which features in the upcoming edition of Life Magazine. We also created a short film about her journey, which was premiered at the opening night of her recent exhibition, giving guests a moving insight into the woman behind the artwork.

The exhibition showcased Yvonne's beautiful paintings alongside other artwork generously donated by local artists, with all proceeds going to North London Hospice. Thanks to her incredible generosity and the support of those who attended, purchased artwork and helped organise the event, the exhibition has already raised over £6,700 so far.

A heartfelt thank you to Yvonne and everyone involved💙

“As a Patient Experience and Engagement Manager, I see the impact of this every day. I witness how small acts of kindness can transform a person’s final days and how thoughtful care leaves an imprint on families that last a lifetime. When we only have one chance to get it right, these moments matter more than anything.”

With your help, we can continue to put patients at the heart of everything we do.
