Our MATP Challenge Event was one of the most special parts of the National Summer Games programme, as athletes from across the country showcased a range of motor skills that they had been practicing at their club or school

Our FREE introduction to MATP online workshops are taking place over the next 10 months for those who want to learn more about how sports and physical activity can support people of all ages with profound and multiple, physical and intellectual disabilities and/or complex support need

Angus Leckonby is hoping to set his fourth record as the Youngest Male with an Intellectual Disability to Complete a Six-Mile Open Water Swim

Athlete Leadership Team member Taylor MacKenzie is participating in one of her first Open Water events, aiming to set the record as the Youngest Female with an Intellectual Disability to Complete a One-Mile Open Water Swim

Both athletes are taking on the challenges to raise funds that supported our first National Summer Games for nine year earlier this summer

Special Olympics GB National Office Update

Following our extensive National Summer Games programme, the Special Olympics GB National Office will be closed from Saturday 12 September until Sunday 20 September.

The team will return to the office on Monday 21 September, with the week-long break giving staff the opportunity to rest and recharge following the Games

Our usual office services and response times will resume from Monday 21 September, and we look forward to supporting you again then
