🤝 We’re delighted to welcome Co-op and Co-op Media Network as an Official Sponsor of the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games 2026

As part of their support, Co-op will provide own-brand food and drink for athletes, volunteers and organisers throughout our multi-sport event in Birmingham

The partnership also builds on the return of the award-winning Meals That Matter campaign, delivered in collaboration with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners , which celebrates the achievements of Special Olympics GB athletes in stores nationwide

From starting out in swimming with Special Olympics GB to taking on triathlon, the TCS London Marathon and some incredible new challenges, Angus continues to show what can happen when you believe in yourself and are given the opportunity to compete

A week today, he will compete in the swimming competition at our first Special Olympics GB National Summer Games multi-sport event for nine years

Family & Friends National Summer Games Ticket Update 🚨 Please Read

All family and friends of Special Olympics GB athletes competing in the National Summer Games multi-sport event in Birmingham can claim FREE tickets for each day of competition.

Everyone attending the National Summer Games multi-sport event must have a ticket to gain admission. Please speak to your Special Olympics GB Club/Programme Lead if you have not received the link to secure your complimentary tickets.

Please note that tickets for the Opening Ceremony at Alexander Stadium are priced at £5 per person.

Additionally, car parking must be booked for Athletics, Gymnastics, Football and MATP events at the Alexander Stadium Campus. Car Parking is priced at £5 per day.

Car parking for Swimming and Boccia competitions at Wyndley Leisure Centre is complimentary and available on a first come, first served basis.

Meals That Matter is back at Lunchtime 🥪

Thanks to our friends at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Co-op, 5p is donated to Special Olympics GB for every qualifying Co-op lunchtime meal deal purchased that includes a 500ml bottle or can of Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar or Diet Coke

Running until 1 September, Meals That Matter is putting our athletes in the spotlight at Co-op stores nationwide, including a special store takeover in Birmingham during our National Summer Games

Staged at the National Performance Centre in Manchester, around 100 athletes competed across two-days of matches
