From luxury to humanity 🧡

An inspiring team of hospitality industry leaders, brought together by Anisha Kishore from Flospitality UK, joined our bespoke Corporate Volunteering Session.
During their lunch hours, they donated, prepared and personally distributed 100 Food Bags to support our guests across Central London.
They witnessed the realities of hardship, connected with people on the streets and became part of the solution.
We then came together for our Coffee & Reflection Session, where our founder shared the story and mission of Charity Begins @ Home. The Social Bite team also delivered a short presentation about their incredible work.

A meaningful afternoon filled with compassion, action and genuine human connection.

This Friday, the CBAH family came together once again — hearts full, hands ready — to serve 507 top-quality hot meals, along with a diverse range of other food items, to our guests across London.

Every meal was prepared and served with love, passion, and care. Every smile exchanged was a reminder of why we do what we do.

Charity is not just about giving — it’s an opportunity for all of us to do our bit as responsible members of society. It’s about showing up, again and again, for our fellow human beings.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who made today possible. Together, we’re not just distributing meals — we’re distributing dignity, warmth, and hope.

🧡 Human Connection in Action with EY 🧡

It was a pleasure to welcome the fantastic EY team to Charity Begins @ Home for a meaningful Corporate Volunteering Session.
After a warm welcome and briefing, the team brought wonderful energy and teamwork—preparing 100 food bags for people experiencing homelessness and hardship across London.
Guided by our experienced Street Guides and volunteers, the team split into two groups for a grassroots outreach experience—meeting people on the streets, offering support with dignity and gaining a deeper understanding of the realities they face.
We ended with our Coffee & Reflection session, where our founder, .awan.10 shared the charity’s journey, mission and lessons learned from a decade of direct work on the streets. This was followed by an open Q&A, thoughtful discussions and valuable feedback from every participant.
A sincere thank you to the entire EY team, including Steve Holt, Partner, EMEIA Financial Services, for bringing such enthusiasm, kindness and positive energy.
A special thank you to Onalenna Giddie, Technology Risk Assurance Lead, for her wonderful behind-the-scenes work in organising the team and bringing everything together.

This Friday, Team Charity Begins @ Home proudly served 355 hot meals, together with a wide variety of food and essential items, to people in need surviving on the streets of London.

Every reminds us that the true strength of a lies in the of ordinary people. from different backgrounds, cultures, faiths, and professions came together with one shared purpose—to serve complete strangers with , , and .

At a time when the world often feels divided, these moments remind us that humanity still unites us. A warm meal can ease hunger, but a kind word, a smile, and a genuine conversation can restore hope and remind someone they are not forgotten.

This Week We Served 800+ with Food Bags — The Beauty of a ❤️**
Team CBAH Served 366 Hot Meals with Other Diverse Food Items on One of the Hottest Fridays — With Love ❤️
This week alone, across our outreach efforts, we proudly served 800+ hot meals along with food bags and essential items. This is the true beauty of a grassroots charity — real people coming together to meet real needs, directly in the community.
Despite the scorching heat, our incredible Team CBAH came together once again to ensure that no one was forgotten.
Together, we served 366 hot meals on Friday alone, along with a wide range of food and essential items, bringing comfort, kindness, and hope to those who needed it most.
Every meal shared was more than just food. It was a reminder that someone cares. Every conversation, every smile, and every act of compassion reflected what Charity Begins at Home stands for.
A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who made this possible. Your generosity and dedication continue to make a real difference, week after week.

💙 Lluan & Lucy Inspired an Entire School.

Two remarkable students from Hillview School for Girls, Kent, joined Charity Begins @ Home for just three days of work experience.

None of us imagined those three days would inspire an entire school.

After volunteering with us, Lluan and Lucy returned to school with one mission—to share what they had experienced and encourage others to make a difference.

Their kindness became contagious.

Their friends got involved.

Their teachers got involved.

Their Headteacher got involved.

Together, the Hillview School for Girls community lovingly baked and donated 400 handmade cupcakes, each one created with care, compassion and purpose for our Friday Food Distribution on the streets of London.

Alongside the cupcakes came dozens of heartfelt handwritten messages reminding our guests that they are valued, remembered and never alone.

This is the beauty of a true grassroots charity.

It doesn’t just provide food.

It connects people.

It inspires young hearts.

It brings communities together.

And one act of kindness at a time, it helps reshape society.

To Lluan, Lucy, the Headteacher, every teacher, every member of staff and every student at Hillview School for Girls—thank you for showing that the greatest lesson a school can teach is compassion.

From the boardroom to the streets of London — a pure grassroots volunteering experience. 💙

Last Thursday, an amazing team from stepped beyond the workplace to experience grassroots charity in its purest form.

After a warm welcome and briefing from our Founder & CEO, Muhammad Saleem Awan, the team prepared 100 food bags, each containing a hot meal, water, juice, crisps, chocolate, and a biscuit. Every bag was packed with care to provide comfort and nourishment to our guests.

Together with our experienced Street Guides and volunteers, they then took to the streets of London, personally distributing the food bags with kindness, compassion, dignity, and respect.

The afternoon concluded with our signature Interactive Coffee & Reflection Session, where we reflected on the experience and shared the story, vision, and mission of Charity Begins @ Home.

Every item distributed that day was generously donated, packed, and handed out by the Blacklane team. Our role was simply to connect those who wanted to help with those who needed it most.
