🩸❤️ This Blood Cancer Awareness Month, we remember.

We remember the people whose lives were taken by blood cancer.
We remember the families who had to say goodbye far too soon.
And we remember the people who inspired us to keep fighting for a future where more lives can be saved.

Among those we remember are our much-loved supporter Natalie, and Khaleel, who we fought alongside in our search to find his lifesaving stem cell match.

We will never forget them. ❤️

Their stories remind us why the work we do matters. Why we keep visiting communities, speaking to young people, holding donor drives and encouraging people to join the stem cell register.

Because somewhere out there, someone is waiting for their match.

❤️ What a fantastic day! ❤️

We had a brilliant day yesterday at Siri Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara in Telford.

We met some incredible people who shared their personal stories of living with cancer, signed people up to the stem cell register, and had some really meaningful conversations. 🩸💙

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers Sasha and John, from our campaign, for joining us.

And a special thank you to Kumlesh for organising everything and welcoming us. 🙏

We’ve also made some fantastic new connections, with exciting opportunities to hold more donor recruitment drives in the future!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, chatted with us and supported what we do. ❤️

We’ve loved meeting all the new students, chatting about the work of Race Against Blood Cancer and seeing so much interest in our cause. 🩸🧬

Even better… we signed up lots of new students to the stem cell register! 🙌 Every registration could be someone’s lifesaving match. ❤️

Today marks the start of Blood Cancer Awareness Month!

At Race Against Blood Cancer, our aim is to increase diversity on the stem cell register, giving more people living with blood cancer the chance of finding their lifesaving match. 🧬❤️

🧬❤️ Making a Difference at MOD Donington! ❤️🧬

We’re delighted to be heading to MOD Donington as part of their Social Value Days to help raise awareness of blood cancer and encourage more people to join the stem cell register.

📅 Tuesday 2nd September
🌟 On Tuesday, their very own employee Anthony will be taking charge of our stand and encouraging his fellow employees to come along, find out more and potentially sign up to the stem cell register.

📅 Wednesday 3rd September
📍 We’ll be at MOD Donington throughout the afternoon, meeting potential donors and sharing more about the lifesaving work we do.

🎓❤️ Kicking off Blood Cancer Awareness Month! ❤️🎓

We’re excited to be starting Blood Cancer Awareness Month by joining the Shrewsbury Colleges Group Freshers’ Fairs next week! 🙌

📍 Tuesday – London Road Campus
📍 Wednesday – English Bridge Campus
📍 Thursday – London Road Campus
⏰ 11:00am – 1:30pm each day

We can’t wait to meet all the new students joining the college and introduce them to the work we do at Race Against Blood Cancer. 🧡

We’ll also have our amazing existing Student Champions with us, helping us recruit new volunteers for the academic year ahead. 🌟

And, of course, we’ll be spreading the word about the stem cell register and hopefully encouraging even more young people to sign up and potentially become someone’s lifesaving match. 🧬❤️

A huge welcome to all the new students — we can’t wait to meet you! 👋
