Kentish Town foodbank

Kentish Town foodbank The Chalk Farm foodbank serves people in north-west Camden who find themselves unable to put food on

Today in Camden there are families struggling to put food on the table. For people on low incomes, a sudden crisis - redundancy, benefit delay or even an unexpected bill - can mean going hungry. Every day parents skip meals to feed their children and people are forced to choose between paying the rent and eating. Chalk Farm foodbank provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis.

PARAKEET x CAFE KOWLOON KOLLAB!

A big thank you to the team at The Parakeet for hosting such a brilliant supper club in aid of Kentish Town Foodbank ❤️

An evening of great food, good company and, most importantly, a fantastic contribution to our work supporting local people.

We’re so grateful to everyone at The Parakeet Pub and to all who came along and helped make it happen. 🫶

195 children. Every month. 💚

Behind that number are children across Kentish Town who are growing up in households facing food insecurity and financial hardship.

At Kentish Town Foodbank, we provide emergency food and practical support to people who are struggling to put food on the table — including hundreds of children.

195 children a month receive emergency food through our foodbank.

That’s 195 reasons why this work matters.
195 reasons to keep showing up.
195 children who deserve to grow up with enough food on the table. ❤️

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, church, community group and local organisation who helps us support families in crisis.

Together, we can help make sure no one in our community has to face hunger alone.

🎒💙 DONATE YOUR PRE-LOVED SCHOOL UNIFORM!

Got school uniform your children have grown out of? Rather than letting it sit in the cupboard, give it a second life and help a local family get ready for the new school year. 👕👟🎒

We’re collecting:
✨ Primary school uniforms
✨ Secondary school uniforms
✨ School shoes
✨ School bags
📍 Donation drop-off: Talacre Community Centre
Dalby Street, London NW5 3AF

📅 18 August – 13 September

Every item donated could make a real difference to a local child and family.

And if you’d rather support us financially, you can donate to our fundraiser to help local families access school uniform too.

Let’s make sure every child can start school feeling ready, confident and included. 🎒✨

A huge thank you to PILON, Best Start Family Hubs, KTC and GLL for supporting this community campaign. 💙
